Added: 13.09.2013 4:18 | 7 views | 0 comments

Gi - Theres no denying Rayman Legends got off to a rough start. After a frustrating delay and loss of exclusivity that left Wii U owners feeling more than burned plus some bad damage control by Ubisoft, many thought the sequel to the highly acclaimed Rayman Origins was going to get buried under the controversy and a handful of big releases. Yeah, it was a difficult year for Rayman fans but thats all over now. Legends is here and it will make all that drama seem like a fleeting dream.

WC - Rayman Legends PC Review

Added: 13.09.2013 4:18 | 15 views | 0 comments

WVCRayman Legends has had a somewhat rough ride coming to PC. At first, the game was announced as a WiiU exclusive. Sadly, the reception for Nintendos next-gen console was mild at best, and Ubisoft soon sent out a memo saying that Legends will be coming to X360 and PS3 as well. While this would certainly drop the games sales on WiiU, it wasnt really that much of a problem. The main issue was that the games release date was pushed back for half a year so as to polish the game on all platforms. This was what caused an outcry from the fans.

Rayman Legends Review | Ghost Volta

Spencer of Ghost Volta: "Rayman Origins mustve been an odd pitch for Ubisoft. In this day and age of high definition 3D models and textures, Michael Ansel and his team want to return to their 2D Rayman roots. Utilizing a brand new engine for 2D dubbed UbiArt, Rayman Origins was not only one of 2011s most gorgeous titles, but its emphasis on pure platforming and tongue-in-cheek humor propelled its status as a sleeper hit for Ubisoft. Now, Ancel and his team are capitalizing on Origins success with Rayman Legends, a sequel that promises more of what made its predecessor such a potent blend of audiovisual prowess and old-school platforming."

Added: 12.09.2013 19:06 | 8 views | 0 comments

There aren't many smartphone or tablet games that sit well with me, aside from the Plants Vs Zombies franchise, and one other game: Rayman Jungle Run. It's so good, it was the very deserving winner of our 2012 best mobile game award. Today, (although we had a hunch already) Ubisoft has announced a sequel, Rayman Fiesta Run.

Added: 12.09.2013 12:19 | 10 views | 0 comments

GamR Mag's, Christian Orkibi, looks into how Ubisoft's visual framework is bringing emotion and innocence back into the world of gaming, starting with the reveal of their newest titles. "Ubisoft are predominantly known for their killer series that fall under a yearly release schedule. Assassins Creed and Tom Clancy have both grown the company exponentially since their foundation. In the 2011 Rayman iteration, Rayman Origins, Ubisoft launched their latest visual tool, the UbiArt framework."

Video Interview Valiant Hearts: The Great War

Added: 12.09.2013 9:19 | 7 views | 0 comments

RPS:Ubisofts surprise World War I action puzzler Valiant Hearts: The Great War is looking marvelous. Developed by some of the best and brightest minds behind Rayman Legends and Beyond Good and Evil, the frank yet humorous take on the horrors of war focuses on five characters, each of whom cross paths with one another and also a day-saving, heart-melting Red Cross puppy. The tale isnt biographical per se, but its absolutely rooted in reality, with many scenarios writ large by historys mighty quill and also small by pens on actual postcards from the time, given to producer/audio director Yoan Fanise by his grandmother. His great grandfather fought, and Valiant Hearts is in part an attempt to honor that service. I recently sat down with Fanise, and he showed me the individual postcards that inspired the game and told me precisely where fiction meets reality.

Rayman Legends Review | Strategy Informer

How far Raymans come. Despite Ubisoft seemingly having the bizarre notion that Rayman is a household name popular enough for them to launch 2D platformers against some of the biggest games of the year (including their own - Assassins Creed in 2011, Splinter Cell now), theres no denying his last few games have been utter gold.
