Rayman Legends Review | Strategy Informer

How far Raymans come. Despite Ubisoft seemingly having the bizarre notion that Rayman is a household name popular enough for them to launch 2D platformers against some of the biggest games of the year (including their own - Assassins Creed in 2011, Splinter Cell now), theres no denying his last few games have been utter gold.

Reviewer Damian Cavanagh writes, "Sometimes life is tough.
"Its tough being the runt of a litter. Its tough being the short, scrawny guy in physical education class. Its tough being a middle child. It can also be tough to be a well-rounded platform game in a market flooded with RPGs, MMOs, FPS franchises and enough sport simulations to fill Madison Square Garden or at least the first few rows, anyway. But amongst all of that, Rayman Legends shines through with nary a whimper."

Rayman Legends is a tough yet fun game probably the best platformer game weve experienced in all of 2013. Most people seem to be on the fence with the incursion of Murfy but ultimately it adds something new and does make the game more complex no matter which platform you play the game on.

| Why Rayman Legends is a better Sonic and Mario game than Sonic and Mario
Added: 11.09.2013 20:19 | 8 views | 0 comments
Accepted gaming wisdom has always placed Mario and Sonic as the kings of platforming. Accepted gaming wisdom no longer holds true. While he was just another also-ran when he first appeared in '90s, another wannabe platforming mascot without the thrills or imagination to compete with old Red and Blue, Rayman is now--in many ways--mightier than either.

Dealspwn: "Child Of Light was too big a secret to keep. As an interactive fairytale, respectful homage to classic role-playing games and a gorgeous use of Rayman Origins' UbiArt engine, Far Cry 3's creative director couldn't help but let the cat out of the bag at GDC.
You can hardly blame him, because after getting hands-on with Child Of Light at a Parisian preview session, I can report that it's shaping up to be something very special indeed."
