"Originally planned to be a Wii U exclusive, Rayman Legends was delayed from its late February release date and given an August (for Europe) and September (for North America) one. The purpose of this delay was to make the game multiplatform. This decision was made after Ubisoft's biggest exclusive launch title for the Wii U, ZombiU, sold horribly to the system's user base. Whether or not that decision was smart is up in the air. Regardless, as a lover of platformers, I finally got my hands on Rayman Legends, and it certainly lived up to my personal hype."

The team behind platformer Rayman have achieved a feat with Legends, not only trumping their former creation 2011's celebrated Rayman Origins but putting their titular hero's long-running series into the same league as some of the best work by genre giants, Mario et al.

Rayman Legends is a sequel to the spectacular 2D Platformer Rayman Origins. While the Rayman series has always been solid, Origins brought back 2D platforming in a way few of us expected. With absolutely gorgeous graphics that gave every screenshot the impression of a hand-drawn work of art and innovative level design Origins showed there was definitely a place for 2D gaming in the current generation. Legends shows us that theres going to be a place for 2D gaming in every generation.

If you devote yourself to an ideal, and if you have no limbs, you can become more than just a man.
Rayman Legends is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Rayman Origins from back in the yesteryear that is 2011. Originally developed as a Wii U exclusive, Ubisoft decided to delay the title and make Rayman Legends a multiplatform title, and its a good thing they did too or us Xbots and PSfanboys would have missed out on one of the greatest 2D platformers ever made.

Two recent releases actually managed to score pretty high with disabled gamers on the D.A.G.E.R. System, or the Disabled Accessibility for Gaming Entertainment Rating System.

Slant Magazine: "Puppeteer, sandwiched between Klonoa and Rayman in terms of difficulty, is charming, cute, and at times childish, but it's clearly designed for an adult to play while a child looks on. There's even an optional co-op mode, too, which allows a less-experienced second player to control Kutaro's companion (with a controller or the Move), bypassing all the platforming and QTE sequences in favor of clicking on the environments, looking for hidden heads. If there's a complaint, it's that having to do this in some of the on-rails single-player sections is a little too difficult. That said, Puppeteer is so uniquely captivating that whether you're playing or simply passing by, you'll find it easy to watch: no strings attached."
