Ubisoft has announced Valiant Hearts: The Great War, the next title from Rayman Legends developer Ubisoft Montpellier due for release on current & next-gen consoles and PC in 2014.

Ubisoft today announced Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a downloadable 2D platformer that is inspired by actual letters from World War I. The game will launch in 2014 for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. No mention was made of a Wii or Wii U release.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is currently in development at Ubisoft Montpellier, the same team behind . It is being created using the UbiArt Framework engine, which also powered the latest Rayman console games.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War tells the story of four strangers who come together on the battlefield to help a young German soldier find love. The story is focused on survival, sacrifice, and friendship, Ubisoft said.

The five playable characters will solve puzzles and sneak through enemy lines alongside a "faithful canine companion" for certain periods of the story. The story is set during a "dark" time in history, but Ubisoft pointed out that there are lighthearted and comical moments throughout the entire game.

Ubisoft has revealed one of its latest projects built on UbiArt Framework known for its use in the marvelous Rayman games. Titled Valiant Hearts: The Great War, this puzzle adventure will follow five characters from different countries as they struggle to survive one of the most devastating events in human history: the first World War. Ubisoft Montpellier is handling development of Valiant Hearts, and aims to launch on PS3 and PS4 sometime next year.

Ubisoft confirms Rayman Fiesta Run and Rabbids Big Bang coming to mobile devices this fall.

New Rayman and Rabbids mobile games are in the works, Ubisoft announced today.

Fiesta Run introduces a "new wacky Fiesta world" featuring 75 levels in four distinct worlds. The game also includes "epic bosses" and new Invasion levels. It was developed using the UbiArt engine, the same technology behind console game .

The new Rabbids mobile game is called Rabbids Big Bang, described as a physics-based game set in outer space. Players will control the zany creatures using jetpack boosts and the gravitational force of planets, among other things.

Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Rabbids Big Bang features 150 different missions, including "crash landing on planets, bouncing off of space cows, and reaching specific speeds." The game launches this fall and also boasts customization options, allowing players to fine-tune their jetpacks and dress the Rabbids in various outfits.

Ubisoft's watercolour adventure will also make its way to current-gen consoles and PC.

Ubisoft has confirmed that watercolour adventure will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U in 2014.

Players will take the role of Aurora, who must restore the kingdom of Lemuria by recapturing three sources of light and defeating an evil Queen.

The game will feature an active time battle system, with Aurora joined in combat by firefly ally Igniculus. Another player can also play as Igniculus.
