Over the past few years there has been a real lack of good new real-time strategy games. You know the ones, like the old Red Alert, Command and Conquer or Company of Heroes. Yes we have had some new expansions and sequels come out, but nothing we could really call brand new. However, new indie title Act of Aggression is going out of its way to change that.

Brawlhalla Early Access Review | GameSpew

Jack at GameSpew writes: "From Xaviant Games, Brawlhalla is a 2D arena fighting game akin to the ever-popular Super Smash Bros. Its chaotic, furious, and sometimes a little all over the place, but one things for sure: its insanely addictive. Although the game is currently in Early Access, theres plenty of content to jump right in with. There are currently nine different stages to choose from, ranging from simple layouts for a basic brawl to more complex arenas with moving platforms and dangers, adding another level of chaos to the fight."

Act of Aggression Review | GameSpew

David at GameSpew writes: "Act of Aggression is like taking a trip down memory lane back to 2003. The year of the London congestion charge coming in, all that Iraq bother and worst of all, Brookside finished. Not the best of years then. But at least it gave us Command and Conquer: Generals; which Act of Aggression does its damn best to be a worthy heir to its legacy. For those not familiar, let me give you a brief overview. In Act of Aggression you play as one of three post-modern factions. First up is an underfunded, but battle hardened, US military who have the most recognisable units and a good choice for newcomers to the genre. Second, the multi-national United Nations force, Chimera, who sport a good mixture of adaptable high tech units. Lastly there is the shadowy Cartel; a criminal organisation of cutting edge tech and private military contractors."

Gamespot: Yet there's little worth in assessing soccer sims by the weight of their game modes, or indeed, the breadth of their official licences. All that truly matters is what unfolds in those virtual ninety minutes, either against a friend, an online stranger, or the computer. On that test alone, PES 2016 represents the best game in the series since the PlayStation 2 era.

Forza Motorsport 6 Review - ThoseGamers

For Petrol Heads in Australia New Zealand, spring is a exciting time. The V8 Supercars Championship is in full swing and the event of the year, the Bathurst 1000 is right around the corner. For Petrol Heads that also own an Xbox One, it is a time that leads to double excitement as a new Forza game is released. This year the purists are appeased as Forza 6 Motorsport ditches the cross country racing action in favour of the heart pounding, adrenaline overload that is closed circuit Motorsport racing.

VG: Become A Legend still appeals with its riches to more riches career path, even if some of the decisions it makes off the back of your performances still don't make sense (I scored seven goals in six games, with five assists, and didn't get a call up for the national team). So too are match ratings all over the place: I've never seen it go higher than 8/10, despite hat-tricks or man of the match performances (this also afflicts Master League). None of these problems keep PES 2016 from being the greatest football game of all time. The question is no longer whether PES can catch FIFA, and in truth hasn't been for a while. Instead, it's the other way around, and may well be for years.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Review | Brash Games

BG: Despite its issues, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 on the PlayStation 3 was one of the better musou titles of the last generation, and while its successor doesnt deviate dramatically from the formula established by its highly successful predecessor, thanks to an array of minor technical, structural and artistic improvements, as case could be made for, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 on the PlayStation 4 being the best musou title ever released.
