Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness and Bananas - GR Review

Who knew monkeys could be so touchy?

I love my portable games. There’s something wonderful about having both bite-sized and fully-fledged experiences in my hands whenever I like it, and especially now with the inexpensive technology involved, plenty of new and unique experiences can be had. In fact, one of the first features I wrote for GameRevolution was breaking down about how he believed fully-featured portable consoles were on their way out and would soon be replaced by tablets and the iPod Touch (which he pointed to specifically). I defended my portable love and pointed out, by reason and the numbers, just how full of crap he was.

GameRevolution LIVE #4 - Hand of Fate

Added: 18.02.2015 16:00 | 2 views | 0 comments

I head off another week of GameRevolution LIVE with this stream of Hand of Fate, an extremely creative hybrid title that combines cards and third-person action adventure. I play three complete rounds with a handful of early bosses and I do completely fine... until I foolishly run into four Huge Failures in a row, GAH!

New Nintendo 3DS XL Review

Grab "N" Go.

I know a lot of GameRevolution readers likely understand my passion for handheld video game hardware as a preference, but I think the space necessitates a lot of other gaming trends that would otherwise go unnoticed. Look to Nintendo 3DS for an uptick in strategy gaming, for example. Role-playing games take too long, but not if you can take them with you everywhere you go. Even mobile software is approaching what-it-wants-to-be-when-it-grows-up as it gets closer to the best practices for handheld games.

GameRevolution LIVE #3 - Dying Light Co-Op, Jean Claude Van Damme-Style [Live]

Added: 10.02.2015 22:00 | 2 views | 0 comments

Inspired by BOYvs VIDEOGAME, Nick Tan and Anthony LaBella will channel their inner MMA action hero by defeating the zombies in Dying Light by only using their fists and kicks.

Melee weapons are not allowed and will only be used as fodder for selling, but everything else is in play including molotovs, grenades, and throwing stars. However, we'll be using tackles, punches, and dropkicks, and seeing how far we can get without dying.
