Steam Trading Cards open to all as Valve hints at what could be this year's Steam Summer Sale.
Valve's Steam Trading Cards will leave beta this Wednesday, the publisher has announced.
All Steam users will gain access to the trading cards on June 26 at 11am PDT. "Making trading cards available to all Steam users is a step towards an event we think everyone can be excited about," .
The event could possibly be this year's Steam Summer Sale, which has traditionally started at a similar time of the year. 2012's sale began on July 10, with 2011's kicking off on June 30.
Features such as trade offers and a card binder won't be available in the Steam Trading Cards system at launch, adds Valve, but will be incorporated at a later date.
Steam Trading Cards are dropped randomly when playing an applicable game, but only around half of the available cards will be given to any player through the system: the rest have to be traded with other players.

Vector Unit Clearly knows what it is doing when it comes to racing on water with gyroscopic controls. Both of their racing games that take place on water (this game and Riptide GP) control fantastically. When we reviewed Riptide GP we gave it high marks for its controls and for an overall solid experience but took points off because it lacked multiplayer of any sort beyond leaderboards. Still, we were highly impressed with Riptide GP and began to look forward to a water racing game by Vector Unit that had multiplayer. Shine Runner takes place on water but it isnt the game we were looking for, but that doesnt mean it is completely lacking of value.

Game Front: "The occasional flashes of brilliance, promise, and beauty, however, make Remember Me worth a look. There are players out there for whom Remember Me will resonate. Ironically, those players may be in the minority, despite the games dogged insistence on appealing to the mainstream."

Nintendo Insider writes:
Underneath all this new gloss and quirky tale, Runner 2 remains true to its award-winning ancestor. That feeling of nailing a string of obstacles nears euphoric levels of satisfaction whereas its often knockbacks rarely feel unfair.
It takes time to discover Runner 2s retro-inspired delights but practice really does make perfect for one of the eShops better offerings.
