H1Z1 hands-on: first impressions of SOE's zombie survival game | PCGamer

PCGamer:
SOE has embraced an extremely transparent, open style of development with H1Z1. After suddenly revealing the game just a few weeks ago with a live demo (and following that with additional, extended livestream gameplay demos, including one where the games barricading feature was built live for viewers in one day), SOE invited press to play the game for the first time today in Santa Monica, CA as many members of the media are in town for pre-E3 appointments.

| The Last Tinker: City of Colors Review | Geekenstein

"In a time when shooters are slowly but surely going out of favor and everyone is waiting for the next big innovation, now seems like the perfect time to reflect on old genres. If youre a kid raised on Minecraft or an aging college grad yearning to relive Rares greatest hits, go take a spin through Colortown and enjoy. If thats not you, at least take The Last Tinker as an example that The Bleakness brought on by Gears of War and its clones is slowly receding and game designers are allowed to use colors other than gray this generation." - Alex Santa Maria of Geekenstein

| Batman Arkham Origins Review I Gameluster
Added: 04.05.2014 14:14 | 7 views | 0 comments
It seems that it doesnt matter what time of the year it is Batman doesnt get a break, even on a night where you think the criminals of Gotham City would be preparing to give each other a present. However, it seems that no matter what a heros job is never done with the entire criminal underworld of Gotham City out to cause mischief. Christmas Eve has never seemed so dreary and clearly in Gotham City Christmas is not a pleasant affair (unless you are a criminal after weapons), and as we see no people rushing around to collect last minute presents, and no children ensuring Santa knows what they want for Christmas, it seems that it has to be a long night for Batman to clean the streets particularly when another enemy wants him gone.

| Scourge: Outbreak Review | Geekenstein
Added: 17.04.2014 19:14 | 6 views | 0 comments
"In its best moments, Scourge: Outbreak can only aspire to be average, and at its worst its a frustrating mess that feels out of a different generation of games. Its price is so low that it might lure in the most penny pinching of gamers, but even then they would be better advised to find a copy of any of the Gears of War games for cheap, or perhaps try out one of its many knockouts currently sitting in bargain bins everywhere. Shooters, even those in the third person, have been oversaturating the market for years, and you have to do something extremely special to get noticed. Scourge: Outbreak doesnt do anything special. Its not broken, but its also not particularly fun even when firing on all cylinders, and thats the most damning thing of all." - Alex Santa Maria of Geekenstein

| The Best Sony Exclusives: God of War
Added: 16.04.2014 11:14 | 10 views | 0 comments
From Cinelinx:
Back in 2006 Sony set a new standard in the action/adventure genre with God of War. The game has spawned a successful gaming franchise now, with many other games emulating it's style. At the time of its release, however, God of War was revolutionary and showcased the power still residing within Sony's PlayStation 2. Since we're examining the best Sony exclusives this month, it's almost impossible to not mention David Jaffe and Sony Santa Monica's incredible action title.

| Infamous: Second Son Review | PlayStationer
Added: 14.04.2014 12:14 | 7 views | 0 comments
Infamous: Second Son is an important game for both the developers Sucker Punch and publisher Sony. For Sony it needs Infamous to keep the excellent sales momentum of the PlayStation 4 going whilst showing what their new console is capable of. For Sucker Punch, they need to show Sony and the gaming population that they are a studio of worth up there with the big boys like Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica. Thankfully for both parties involved and PlayStation 4 owners, Infamous: Second Son is an excellent game with stellar production values, the best open-world graphics ever seen, an extremely likable main character and a city that begs to be explored.
