Push Square: "Secret Ponchos feels like a glimpse of what could go on to be a great game. Its comic book art style looks good, and the actual game plays well but the slim roster of characters and stages mean that youll quickly burn through whats on offer. With only alternative costumes available to buy at launch, the hope is that more content will be added further down the line. For now, though, unless youre already a PlayStation Plus subscriber, youre better off hanging up your six shooters."

Secret Ponchos throws you into the game without any kind of tutorial, so you can expect to get slaughtered while learning the basic controls and abilities of your chosen character. Because characters level up individually and can't be swapped during matches, it takes a fair amount of time to find out which character best meshes with your playstyle, and once you do there's little incentive to switch things up since it means starting from scratch again."
