The 15th Game Developers Choice Awards and Independent Games Festival Awards have just been held at GDC 2015 in San Francisco. Dealspwn writes: Get wang! Yeah, we're never going to tire of those jokes with Shadow Warrior. And when we can see discounts down to £15 on PS4 and Xbox One, why would we.
Shadow Warrior is an old school FPS, that relishes in retro mechanics. It says 'pish' to regenerating health in favour of guns that are slightly awkward to aim and basic visuals. On the plus side it gives you a ruddy big sword to hack enemies to kibble with and the humour is great compared with all the po-faced modern day shooters.

At the Narrative Summit during this year's Game Developer's Conference, there was some buzz on the first day of the show about cinematic storytelling. Monolith's Ethan Walker, the lead for cinematics on Shadow of Mordor, spoke about the challenges showing wraith Celebrimbor and undead Ranger Talion's unique relationship outside of gameplay. Additionally, in the Art Direction track, Robh Ruppel of Naughty Dog gave examples from films for compositional choices for great concept art, highlighting Blade Runner's influence. However, it was Fiction Control's Matthew Weise's talk about cinematic games that was most telling.
