Speaking to IGN at this year's EGX convention, Price explained that he'd be more than happy to create another game on the popular character if the right opportunity comes along. "Activisions done a great job with Spyro," he said. "They resurrected him and, in my opinion, Skylanders is still about Spyro. Its got the same aesthetic, the same broad appeal and theyve done a great job of bringing that character and his world to a brand new set of fans. Thats very hard to do in an age where a lot of games are darker and grittier. "Well always love Spyro. Ive learned to say never say never so who knows?"

Disney joined the party on previous gen with Disney Infinity, and even Nintendo have their own take, Amiibo figures, coming soon. So far, Activisions Skylanders games have been all about bringing toys to life. Put a toy on the included Portal of Power accessory, and boom youre now playing with that character in the game. With Skylanders: Trap Team, however, the developers at Toys for Bob wanted to take a step in the opposite direction: take something from the game and bring it into a toy. When you track down an escaped villain and defeat him in battle, you have the option to capture him in a physical trap. The villain lives inside the Traptanium Portal... but instead of being a bad guy, he instead works for the titular Skylanders, and you can play as him using his special abilities in the fight for good.
