| An Incomplete MGSV: The Phantom Pain Offers Clue To Why Kojima Was Let Go By Konami
Added: 12.09.2015 0:17 | 17 views | 0 comments
GameRevolution: "It was unfathomable when Hideo Kojima had a dramatic break-up with Konami. Working together for 28 years didn't seem to matter as both the legendary Metal Gear creator and Japanese publisher split paths in a way that left gamers in shock.
No official reason has been given for the break up, but the recent release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain offers a clue as to what happened.
The initial wave of acclaim following MGSV: The Phantom Pain's release has been largely replaced with discussion about how its story didn't live up to expectationsas a Metal Gear fan I certainly agree. Although its superb presentation and gameplay challenge any notion that it isn't a great game, fans expecting a mind-blowing conclusion to the Metal Gear saga anywhere near as interesting as the pre-release hype (i.e. Moby Dick Studios) have been left scratching their heads."

| (WGB) Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Review Theres A Unicorn On Fire, What More Do You Want

Baden of WGB: "The dismissal of Hideo Kojima has brought with it cries that while Metal Gear Solid may live on through Konami, it will never truly be the beloved franchise again, which in some ways is almost disrespectful to the many, many people who actually make the game behind the scenes and will likely continue on with the series. Kojima may provide much of the vision, but undoubtedly he also just said yes or no to many ideas brought to him. and trusted his team. Still, without the man himself it is quite likely that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be the last true Metal Gear Solid game, especially with Konami involved, a company which, and lets be honest here, has proven itself to be somewhatwell, stupid. So, if this is really the final proper Metal Gear game does it do justice to the insane series? Has Kojima gone out with a bang?"

| Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Has the Best Open World
Added: 12.09.2015 0:00 | 35 views | 0 comments
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain marks an important transition for the series. Previous MGS entries allowed freedom within defined spaces, while MGSV makes the shift to an open-world sandbox design. The linearity of past games disappears, and Hideo Kojima's MGS swan song thrives on the lack of constraints. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain feels like an open-world sandbox game in which the game actually plays like a virtual sandbox. There aren't a ton of sidequests scattered over every square inch of the map. Instead, every situation in the game promotes creativity and thus the game shines in its open world design.
