| Conception II could be the perfect example of everything thats wrong with Japanese gaming culture
Added: 21.01.2014 22:16 | 11 views | 0 comments
Games in Asia: "Conception II is a JRPG developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Atlus for the 3DS and PlayStation Vita. Its due for release in the summer of 2014.
Conception II revolves around a young man who must save the world by creating star children with seven female characters. These children are made by fusing skills and stats of the parents to create a new party member which can help you in battle, the overall power of the child will result from the depth of the bond you have with the mother. Now although this sounds crazy its actually very similar to Personas social link and fusion system.
Now before I begin pulling this game to pieces I should note that there are certain themes and ideas that have a higher level of social acceptability in Japan than in other countries. As an outsider my view point will obviously be different. However I absolutely disagree with the notion that morality is dependent on geographical location.

WP - "The Gate is a new iOS card battling strategy game by Spicy Horse Games. You take control of a party of not-so-cute looking monsters in hell, where the only thing left to do is fight for supremacy, and because there is nothing else to do. So naturally, your goal is to quest through a number of stages using the strongest demons that you can get your hands on."

| American McGees Grimm Review | GameGrin
Added: 20.01.2014 0:16 | 17 views | 0 comments
American McGees Grimm was originally released back in 2008 as the debut game of the ever-odd Shanghai-based Spicy Horse. It was only available from the short-lived French digital distribution company GameTap (which youll be forgiven for not remembering), so never really reached a mass audience. The Alice: Madness Returns developers have now re-released the game on Steam, which means anyone can pick up this ludicrous, inspired, but also flawed title. This is a classic American McGee game, its full to the brim with bizarre concepts and does little to hide its outlandish style and presentation.
