But this weekend there's an even bigger numeric milestone to celebrate according to the Linux site Phoronix1,500 Linux titles are currently available through Steam. The five most popular Linux titles for Steam include major developer offerings like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (the rest of the top five according to Phoronix includes ARK: Survival Evolved, Team Fortress 2, and Dota 2). And this summer, a small indie game called Don't Be Patchman even became the first Linux-exclusive launch on Steam.

Since its release on Steam Early Access back in December 2014 indie developer Refract has made it clear that it intends to add support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) to its racing title, Distance. That support was on display PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington last month as part of the Indie Megabooth line-up and VRFocus will have coverage on it soon but Refract has now added it as an experimental update for Distances pre-release version.
