Added: 16.08.2015 1:00 | 11 views | 0 comments

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots ties up all the loose story threads of the Metal Gear Solid saga. Some in very surprising ways, and others that truly felt like they were planned since the very beginning with Metal Gear Solid itself. MGS4 manages transform series villains like Big Boss, Ocelot, and even Liquid from terrorists into tragic heroes who spent half a century fighting for the freedom of mankind.

Pauldron: Shield of the King, An Intriguing RPG Strategy Hybrid

Added: 15.08.2015 21:18 | 8 views | 0 comments

Serena Nelson writes: "It should be apparent by now that I'm a huge fan of stories related to chivalry, duty, and honor. The concepts of fighting for a cause you believe in and putting your life on the line for those who can't defend themselves has always appealed to me. Which is why I'm surprised I had overlooked Pauldron: Shield of the King for as long as I have. It's not the most beautiful game, but I've always been one to say that graphics don't make a good game. Story does."

Tony and Me: My Favorite Tony Hawks Pro Skater Memories

Added: 15.08.2015 9:18 | 52 views | 0 comments

Colby Primeaux writes, "The year was 1999 and I was in eighth grade. Pizza Hut ran a promotion. You buy a pizza and you get one of two PlayStation demo discs, each containing demos of upcoming games. I cannot remember nine of the ten games (although I think Ape Escape and Sled Storm were among them), but I remember the crown jewel of the collection: Tony Hawks Pro Skater. It contained one level the Warehouse on which you got two a two-minute run as either Bob Burnquist or the Birdman himself, while a single song Goldfingers Superman played on loop. It might have just been the greatest thousand two-minute sessions of my youth."

Review: Jade Cocoon: Story of the Tamamayu

Added: 14.08.2015 5:18 | 3 views | 0 comments

Nathan Stiles writes: "As a gamer, few things excite me more than stumbling upon a hidden gem. One of those games that while not perfect, certainly has far more to give than its popularity would lead you to believe. At first glance, Jade Cocoon: Story of the Tamamyu fit this mold perfectly; However, around the halfway point of this rather short adventure, the game took a turn that made me re-evaluate my opinion."

KOI - Journey of Purity: Impressions and Gameplay Video | AppUnwrapper

Added: 13.08.2015 20:18 | 37 views | 0 comments

Appunwrapper writes: "KOI - Journey of Purity is one of those games I saw in the App Store and bought on whim, based on the description and video. I had just recently played Prune and had an itch for another artsy and tranquil puzzle game. But while KOI is most definitively a pretty game, it's by no means tranquil."

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Preview A Storm of Shuriken | The Koalition

Added: 13.08.2015 19:18 | 35 views | 0 comments

Tony Polanco from The Koalition writes: "I had a chance to check out the previous installment of the Naruto video game series at last years Bandai Namco NYC event. I had no idea what I was doing. If a fighting game doesnt play like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, I tend to get lost and this was no exception. I had to make my preview a hands off one since I let a more competent friend show me the ins and outs of the game. This year however, things were different. While at the latest Bandai Namco event, I threw my built-in notions of what a fighting game is supposed to be and finally understood how to play a Naruto game. If youre a fan of the franchise or just like over the top fighting games, then Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is definitely something youll enjoy."

Contradiction Review | GameSpew

Added: 13.08.2015 19:18 | 13 views | 0 comments

Kim at GameSpew writes: "Though not entirely unheard of, full motion video games this side of the 1980s arent exactly run of the mill. The release of Sam Baileys Her Story last month seems to have spurred on a new wave of FMV-based games, and frankly I couldnt be more excited. Having just playing through Baggy Cats Contradiction, dubbed the all-video murder mystery adventure, Im raring to discover more hidden gems of this ill-used gaming art form."
