WC Arkham Knight may only be a little over a month into its release, but its story is already proving to be one of the most divisive in all of Batmans media output yet. Its narrative themes whilst exemplary in premise are often executed poorly, and much discontent has arisen as a result of Rocksteadys vision moving against what many would consider to be the norms of the Bat-mythos. This isnt to say that the story is dire by any means, but it certainly wobbles in areas where previous titles had exceeded.

Its hard to believe in 2015, but the choices for twin-stick shooters a decade ago werent so much limited as nearly nonexistent. Smash TV, Total Carnage and Robotron were only playable by emulation, with the latter having had an attempt at reviving the name on PS1 and N64. Llamatron had been made freeware and was playable through Atari ST emulators, and Geometry Wars was a hidden bonus in Project Gotham Racing. It was pretty dire, but then Mutant Storm showed up as one of the earliest Xbox Live Arcade games and started to turn it all around.

Barlow says of the two fan theories: "The interesting aspect to all of that is just they're all different angles on the same idea. I was always loathe to express my opinion on any of that because I don't think it's necessary. I think it's quite fine for people to have their own opinions of where that stuff stands."
