| Final Fantasy 7 Remake... As A Classic Beat-'Em-Up!

Can't wait for the FFVII remake? Well, this might help stave off the hunger (...or just whet your appetite for more).
Developer PD Design Studio in Singapore has recreated the opening level of FFVII into a sword-slashing, fist-cracking side-scrolling beat-'em-up aptly named FFVII: Re-Imagined. It's a fan project that won't be seeking profit in any way, which will hopefully prevent Square Enix from sending those cease-and-desist letters.

Geraint at GameSpew writes: "From the French-Canadian games company Clever Plays Studio comes their debut indie game Leap of Fate, where you play as a cyberpunk rogue in a not-too-distant dystopian neon future.
The game is described (on their own website) as a mix of the infinite replayability of The Binding of Isaac, the precise and reactive controls of League of Legends, and the feel-good combat of Diablo, with, in my opinion, the shadowy cyberpunk influences of Shadowrun."
