Added: 08.05.2014 6:14 | 18 views | 0 comments

Gary A. Swaby of The Koalition writes: Child of Light is one of those games a mature gamer might overlook based on its visual appearance alone. But then somehow out of your own control, you manage to see the game in motion and realize that this is actually a creative mash up of game-styles we've all come to love. It's a fusion of styles that people of all ages can appreciate. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, powered by the Rayman engine, Child of Light is an artsy fairy tale with influences from turn-based JRPGs. Its a combo that makes for a surprisingly satisfying experience. (Continued)

Gary Swaby at TheKoalition.com writes: E3 2014 is just over a month away, and we're at a point in the gaming industry when all three console manufacturers are missing a spark. This means E3 2014 will be an extremely important show as it can either make or break the three companies. On this show we invited Andre Tipton, our co-founder Anthony Frasier, and the man simply known as Icon to help us in discussing E3 predictions and expectations. Will Nintendo's lack of a conference hurt them? Will Microsoft show us some incredible exclusive software? Can Sony retain their popularity with the PS4 system? We touch all bases in our E3 2014 discussion.

5 People Who Should Do A Call of Duty Voice Pack Besides Snoop Dogg

Added: 16.04.2014 19:14 | 12 views | 0 comments

Gary Swaby at The Koalition writes: When my editor-in-chief Richard Bailey sent me a link to a news story revealing Snoop Dogg (Formally Snoop Lion?) as a DLC voice pack for Call of Duty: Ghost, I was scratching my head. As a Hip-Hop lover I respect Snoop Dogg and everything he's done, but this felt like an odd choice. I understand that Snoop is a big gamer himself, and he's a fan of Call of Duty, but I feel like there are better choices than him that people would love to see do a voice pack in Call of Duty. So I decided to write a list of 5 other cool people we'd like to see have a voice pack in a Call of Duty game. Not all of them are possible, but I can bet they make a lot more sense than Snoop Dogg. Let me know if you agree.

The Co-op Podcast 72: Will Amazon Fire TV Steal Nintendos Market Share?

Added: 04.04.2014 16:14 | 10 views | 0 comments

Gary Swaby at The Koalition writes: After popular demand we finally managed to bring back one of our founders Anthony Frasier to join us as a guest on episode 72 of The Co-op Podcast. Anthony Fraiser now runs his own business at The Phat Startup so definitely check it out. With his business smarts at hand there were a few discussions we had to have regarding the gaming industry. One of them was Amazon's Fire TV box which is a set-top box with video game support. How much of a threat will this new device be to the current consoles? Could it affect Nintendo specifically, being that its a more casually appealing device? We go back and forth on this during our discussion.

Witch and the Hundred Knight Review (PS3) | Calmdowntom

Added: 01.04.2014 14:15 | 5 views | 0 comments

"Witch and the Hundred Knight, Disgaea developer Nippon Ichi Softwares latest game, doesnt sound quite right does it? But it is, as you play as Hundred Knight, a summoned spirit of legend, brought to the living world by the Swamp Witch, Metallia. Witch and the Hundred Knight is an action RPG with some semi hack and slash elements thrown in to the mix to add pace to the game. The aim of the game is to please Metallia with all her wishes as best you can, which usually involves hurting others." says Calmdowntom
