SC2: Heart of the Swarm Multiplayer Review: A powerful evolution (games.on.net)

Added: 21.03.2013 8:18 | 3 views | 0 comments

Perhaps the most telling observation one can make about Heart of the Swarm is that, despite it being their expansion, Zerg players are the least happy about the changes. Theyre not despondent; theyre just not cheering from the aisles. Its particularly noticeable in Australia, whose competitive scene has been characterised with an unhealthy degree of Zerg commanders for the last two years. Most of our tournaments were strictly all-Zerg affairs: Jared PiG Krensel, for instance, won the Australian leg of the Blizzard World Championship Series purely thanks to his prowess in the Zerg vs Zerg mirror. Changing the status quo, obviously, can only be a good thing. But its not as if the race is at a distinct disadvantage across the board, as Andrew mOOnGlaDe Pender showcased at the HotS launch in Federation Square. Its just that the collectives knowledge has effectively been reset.

SSE Reviews: Heart of the Swarm (SC2 Expansion)

Chris Matyskiel of Screen-Shaped Eyes uses a lot of jargon I don't understand when he reviews Starcraft 2's newest expansion, Heart of the Swarm. I don't think I'd want to be probe-harassed though.

The Co-op Podcast 47: Bros Foes And Hoes

Added: 20.03.2013 11:22 | 7 views | 0 comments

Gary A. Swaby of The Koalition writes: On this week's episode of The Co-op we were joined by both Anthony Frasier and Carl Daniel (the mute). We talked extensively about Sony Santa Monica's decision to rename the God of War: Ascension trophy "Bros before Hoes" due to Adam Sessler kicking up a fuss. In my opinion the trophy was within context to the events in the game, and there's no way it could have been offensive especially because the female character didn't actually die. But perhaps you may disagree? If so then have your say below. Also on this podcast we share our thoughts on Tomb Raider, breaking down our likes and dislikes. We speak on Saint's Row IV and what we want from the game. How much will they push the limits of slapstick over the top humor this time? Will Deep Silver taking ownership over the series change it in any way? And we also reflect on EA's catastrophe with the launch of Sim City, what are our thoughts on DRM? Interestingly Carl Daniel gives Anthony Frasier...
