EB: Telltale has just revealed that the first episode of its Minecraft: Story Mode adventure game will release digitally on October 13, 2015. The title of the first episode has also been revealed, which is The Order of the Stone (Harry Potterish no?).

No worries if you didn't make it out to Seattle though, because we can announce today that you'll be able to get your hands on the season premiere of Minecraft: Story Mode next month! Episode 1 -- The Order of the Stone will debut digitally for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on Tuesday, October 13th, and at retail on Tuesday, October 27th.

WP: Thus far, a majority of the episodic adventure games on the market follow the path laid out by Telltale Games. With an emphasis on story, gameplay is focused on emulating a modern visual novel with key dialogue and moral choices while going very light on everything else, like puzzle-solving and combat (if applicable). The formula works well, so the desire to deviate from it isn't there, but it is nice to see games like Blues and Bullets try something different.

Unfortunately for Telltales Game of Thrones, however, this couldnt be any further from the truth. For all of the narrative that has escalated piece-by-piece since its debut, episode five A Nest of Vipers, is surprisingly light in major plot developments, and leaves much to be desired when the credits begin to roll.
