From GameWatcher: "Amazon.co.uk has put a provisional release date of 30 October 2015 on Telltale's narrative adventure game Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Series.
Dates listed by retailers ahead of official publisher announcements aren't always one hundred per cent reliable of course, but Mojang has previously stated that the game will be out before the end of the year. No PC version is listed, but it's a safe bet to assume versions across all platforms will release simultaneously.

And so we come to the penultimate episode in Telltale's Borderlands series, the sadly unloved, black sheep of the Telltale family. Why this is the case Im not quite sure. Perhaps when it comes to licenses, Borderlands isnt the most beloved, especially when compared to the likes of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Shame really, because Tales continues the series run of good, if unspectacular episodes.

Hayden Waugh writes: "Escape Plan Bravo does not deliver an edge-of-your-seat ending and is an unnecessarily bumpy ride. Despite an epic imaginary gun shootout with a crowd of Hyperion accountants, Telltale has left the season finale with all the work to do."

Out of all of its narrative endeavors, Telltale Games partnership with Minecraft seems the strangest fit. After all, Minecraft itself has no story, and grants players far more freedom and opportunities for self-expression than Telltale could ever hope to match. The folks at Telltale have proven time and time again, however, that they knows precisely how to approach each new IP they take on, and Minecraft: Story Mode shows all the signs of another great series.

XBA:
Its easy to be cynical about Minecraft: Story Mode. A Telltale adventure game set in the world of Mojangs all-conquering blockbuster, its a project that probably wouldnt have existed if Notch was still in charge. Minecraft isnt about narrative. Telltales taking on too many projects. And Microsofts first major creative decision as owners of the property is an odd one. What a dirty cash grab.
