ZTGD | BattleBlock Theater (XBLA) Review

Dave Payerle writes: Story isnt everything in games, but having a good premise helps out a lot. In BattleBlock Theater, the plot revolves around being shipwrecked on an island and forced to perform in dangerous plays to please an audience of sinister cats. That sense of craziness carries throughout the entire game and, coupled with some great platforming and a ton of options, it makes for a fun, compelling package.

GameTrailers: "BattleBlock Theater is a fine little game, and though it has charm and pizazz, it also comes of feeling a bit of a sideshow, just something to pull out on a rainy day for a fast fifteen to buy a new head, play a quick match, or toy around with a level idea. Youll get your mileage, and scratch that itch to run, jump, and punch with wild abandon, which for fifteen bucks is A-OK."

| BattleBlock Theater (Xbox 360), Review | Den of Geek US

Its been a long 5 years since The Behemoths last game Castle Crashers took the world of console arcade games by storm, and fans of the cartoony CO-OP hack n slash adventure have been patiently waiting for another quality outing from Dan Paladin and crew ever since. We knew a third game was in the works, but besides the vague Game #3 designation and a handful of even vaguer concept art, little else was known for quite some time about the mysterious new title. Well now that BattleBlock Theater is here at long last, Den of Geek can finally see what The Behemoth has been up to in all of that time: and trust Joe Jasko when he says that it was certainly worth the wait.
