Tiger Woods PGA tour 14 is a simulation video game which provides a realistic insight into the ponderous game of golf. Developed by EA Tiburon, this game almost feels like a documentary on the sport it includes everything from golfing history to legends and even the newest locations. The game calls for a lot of meticulous thought and precision but still it never feels wearisome or dull. The developers have managed to inject flair and excitement into the laid back, inarticulate game of golf and this is quite commendable. Whether you are a seasoned golfing aficionado or just getting introduced to the sport, PGA tour 14 will definitely enthrall you and educate you too!
Its that time of year again - The Masters fast approaching, the adverts have begun running on Sky TV and wonderfully timed as per usual, a new Tiger Woods game arrives in stores. Firmly sat as a mainstay of the EA Sports offerings and giving us all an annual iteration of the most played golf game in the world on all formats. Iteration is of course the key word here as there have been no leaps and bounds within the Tiger franchise for some years now. Sadly the suits at EA threw out the idea of an open world cocktail waitress banging GTA style golf simulation in favour of something far more traditional. New modes, tweaked gameplay and a variety of small changes are pretty much standard fare year on year but we collectively keep coming back and to be fair to the team behind the games they are always hugely successful.
Risin' up back on the street, did my time, took my chances.
Tiger Woods games, like smartphones, are fine things, but unless there are some great new features it's difficult to justify buying a new one every year. Luckily the series has taken some neat steps forward lately and TW14 is one of the better offerings to date.

Kotaku - There's no formal dress code for Augusta National Golf Club as it appears in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14, but all created golfers must wear the same thing when they play it this year. This is unintentional, but admittedly a goof-up, two of the game's designers told me on Friday.
XboxAddict: " I can't comment to how often I'll go back to the Legends mode once I'm through it, but it's a fun piece overall, and really seems well thought out. All in all, I think the regular players and the diehards will be happy with this feature, and this title overall, as EA continues to do what they do best in this series, which is deliver all of the challenges and majesty of the sport, while leaving the intricacies intact. I think Ted Ray's quote sums it up quite nicely: 'Golf is a fascinating game. It has taken me nearly forty years to discover that I can't play it.'"
