Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 Review | GodisaGeek

GodisaGeek: "Its that time of year again when EA start rolling out the annual updates of their established sporting franchises. Its often a field day for the cynics, who are happy to pick fault over the new features or else lament the lack of them but, for a change, the cynics have little to complain about with this incarnation of Tiger Woods PGA Tour. A bevy (yes, bevy) of new features and improvements on established tropes make this entry the biggest package in the series recent history but is there more to it than a few new faces and courses to make it worth your money? Yes, actually. Yes there is."

PSLS writes: "Golf games are the perfect example of why video games exist who has the money or time to put pants on and spend half a day hitting a ball into sand and trees? EA saw an opportunity to save people from the unreasonable fees of golf by making its first golf simulator in 1998, and since then it has seen a multitude of improvements, some of which have made the series more popular, while others disappear in short order. The series is now at its 16th iteration: Is it the well-oiled machine that it intends to be?"

New Video Games March 25th, 2013

This week's NVG is light on the video editing and heavy on the Bioshock Infinite as that's the only trailer I'm featuring. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon came out yesterday, but 3DS trailers don't look so good. It's better see how pretty that game is in 3D on your own. There's a host of other titles coming out, which you'll in the list, but we've gotta give it up for the heavy hitter this week:
Bioshock Infinite (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) - March 26th, 2013 Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS) - March 24th, 2013 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (3DS) - March 24th, 2013 Warframe (PC) - March 25th, 2013 Tactical Intervention (PC) - March 24th, 2013 Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel (Xbox 360, PS3) - March 26th, 2013 Terraria (PC) - March 27th, 2013 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 (Xbox 360, PS3) - March 26th, 2013 HarmoKnight (3DS) - March 28th, 2013 I'm headed out the door for a PlayStation Indie showcase, but I'll be back later tonight to play Bioshock Infinite once its unlocked. I've also got a new copy of Luigi's Mansion sitting on my desk, but I'm determined not to open or else I'll get distracted this week. What are you buying?

Semi-review of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14. "Tiger 14s additions and improvements have the merit to be appreciated by the both the hardcore and more casual crowds and that is a balance that has been tough to come by in the past."
