OXM: "While the two share common threads, after spending some hands-on time with Transistor, it seems more spiritual successor than direct spawn to SuperGiant Games' previous work, Bastion."

| Toki Tori 2 Easily Had The Most Adorable Booth At PAX
Added: 30.03.2013 11:18 | 9 views | 0 comments
Super PolyPixel - The first Toki Tori was a wonderful game and the second is being looked forward to by many. It comes out next week on April 4th, but we were able to catch up with it at PAX East and give it a nice spin. Watch as I die, and even one of the main guys behind the game asked Did he just die? Yes, yes I did.
Unfortunately though the game wasnt able to wrack up lines like Transistor did. The booth itself was found tucked away in the middle of the Indie Mega Booth, but was easily the most adorable and welcoming.

| Transistor Preview: Supergiant's bold, futuristic follow-up to Bastion | EuroGamer
Added: 29.03.2013 7:18 | 10 views | 0 comments
EuroGamer: "Supergiant's 2011 action-RPG Bastion made a lot of waves with its stunning art direction, procedural narration, and inventive approach to combat difficulty. It was clearly a game that wanted to rethink the isometric dungeon crawler rather than blindly follow in the footsteps of what came before. At a glance, its follow-up, Transistor, looks content to simply do Bastion again with its familiar isometric perspective, colourful world and the gritty vocal chords of rising voice-acting superstar Logan Cunningham dropping cryptic bits of narration over a mysterious plot that slowly comes into focus."

Shack News: "Supergiant Games made a notable first entry in 2011 with Bastion, a game that quickly grabbed the attention of critics and fans. As the studio was porting its first game to everything from Chrome to iPad, it was also quietly working on its sophomore effort. It introduced Transistor just before PAX East and showed it at the convention, giving curious fans a chance to see what's next for the studio."

| StickSkills Radio Episode 27 - Gears of War: Judgment PAX East
Added: 27.03.2013 10:18 | 14 views | 0 comments
Another light show this week. Chris was off exploring PAX, in the meantime myself, Perry and Todd discuss some of the big announcements coming out of the show. Including Transistor from SuperGiant Games, DuckTales getting a remake and a whole load of Borderlands 2 stuff.
In what we've been playing, it's a light week as I briefly talk a bit more about my time with Tomb Raider before we move onto last week's big release, Gears of War: Judgment. Todd and Perry share their thoughts on People Can Fly's take on the Gears franchise.
Then we round things out with a drivetime PAX discussion with Josiah and Sam. Apologies for the less than stellar audio quality we like to think it puts you right there in the car with them.

| The first fifteen minutes of Supergiant's Transistor
Added: 26.03.2013 8:18 | 13 views | 0 comments
Transistor isnt coming out until 2014 sometime, but as a fan of Bastion Im already immensely interested in it because of not only how similar it is, but also because of the new style of combat and the massively different sci-fi world. Total Biscuit normally does commentary videos of new and upcoming games and for Transistor he made an exception to his normal policy.
This time Total Biscuit has provided clean audio version of the video that shows fifteen minutes of gameplay from Transistor with high quality audio and video. It is rare to see someone essentially remove themselves from a video, but in this case he did it because of the excellent sound design of Transistor.
In this fifteen minute gameplay video we see an unknown women, a singer who they call Red, take up a talking sword who leads her through this eerily empty sci-fi city. The narration is often beautifully filled with background music that seems incredibly fitting of a Supergiant game.
