GameInformer: "Looking at screenshots of Supergiant Games' upcoming Transistor, it would be easy to assume that it plays similar to the developer's previous game, Bastion. After playing through it at PAX East, however, it immediately became clear that this is an entirely new experience that's every bit as impressive as the studio's first game."

Dealspwn writes: This week we chat about the departure of John Riccitiello from EA along with the SimCity "redemption portal"; we look at Quantic Dream and DONTNOD holding firm against marketing interference; we discuss the "new" Durango report and the controversy surrounding always-connected services; and we give our impressions of the recent Transistor and Saints Row IV reveals.
As Richard Garriott might say, no other podcast comes close to the awesomeness of this podcast.

GR:Supergiant Games upcoming title Transistor blends Bastions dynamic storytelling techniques and colorful art style to create a new experience full of wonder and intrigue. While both games look similar, Transistor offers a different combat system and gameplay elements that distinguish it from Bastion. We only got to play a short demo of the game, but its clear that Transistor is shaping up to be just as impressive as its predecessor. Transistor tells the story of a songstress named Red that has gone mute after a group known as the Process tries to kill her. She soon stumbles upon the sentient sword Transistor, who becomes both her companion and weapon on a journey to find her assailants. The game takes place in a futuristic city that has been overrun by robots, so while Bastions isometric viewpoint and rich color palette is present, youll definitely feel like youre exploring a new world with a friend by your side.

Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.
That's honestly the first thing that immediately came to mind when thinking back over my hands-on experience with Supergiant Games' upcoming title Transistor. And let's be real for a moment: After seeing the screenshots below, can you really blame me? This small, yet talented, development team has managed to create one of the most gorgeous and enchanting worlds I have ever explored in gaming. If you've played Bastion, the studio's prior title, this should hardly come as a surprise.
