Now These Are Some Next-Gen Visuals

These shots from the upcoming Project Cars are so damn shiny. And aspirational. I bet this is what Kaz wants Gran Turismo to look like when it hits PS4. Like a glossy car brochure come to life, the "new car" smell wafting all around you at 200mph.

Digital Foundry vs. Gran Turismo 6

Added: 20.01.2014 19:20 | 3 views | 0 comments

Digital Foundry : "Last year marked the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo franchise and the arrival of GT6, Polyphony Digital's final outing on the PlayStation 3. With the veteran hardware now on its seventh year, it's fair to say they've had a fair crack at pushing the platform to its limits. GT6 arrived with a wealth of new content along with numerous changes and improvements to the underlying technology - we're seeing state-of-the-art features that aren't even present in the next-gen Forza Motorsport 5. Gran Turismo has always resembled a bit of a work-in-progress - particularly when looking at its PS3 iterations. By the time GT5 finally reached store shelves in winter 2010 we found it to be an incredibly ambitious title that also fell short in a few key areas. Its large selection of vehicles were marred by the inclusion of warmed over PS2-era car models, while its menu system made getting into a race a challenge in its own right."

Added: 17.01.2014 21:16 | 0 views | 0 comments

VVV: "Gran Turismo 6 is phenomenal as a console-based driving simulator, yet so-far incredibly nondescript, basic and (mostly because of the woeful AI) occasionally disappointing as a racing game."

KAZ Brings Gran Turismo Documentary To Hulu Jan. 22

Added: 17.01.2014 17:19 | 6 views | 0 comments

In Gran Turismo, the line between fantasy and reality is a fuzzy one. From the cars to the courses they drive down, the developers at Polyphony Digital strive to create a perfect racing sim. That dedication has led to a documentary on the racing series, as well as the man driving it, Kazunori Yamauchi.
