Turtle Rock Studios is doing something a bit different from other studios out there: they're not going to charge for downloadable map content for their upcoming asymmetric, competitive multiplayer game, Evolve. Why? Because they don't want to break up the community or create disparity within the player-base.

Evolve, the cooperative monster hunting first-person shooter, will give away all of it's DLC maps for free, developer Turtle Rock Studios has announced.

Creative Director Phil Robb said that after launch, Turtle Rock will continue to support the game with new monsters, hunters and maps, but that maps will be free so as not to divide players and lock them out of matches.
