Push Square: "Soul Sacrifice, the nightmarish action title dreamed up by Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, has already gained one stellar review in Japan, giving the PlayStation Vita a prolonged shot in the arm in the process. With the imminent Western release just a few weeks away, Sonys released a gigantic playable demo for the title in both Europe and North America, and based on our generous playthrough, owners of the handheld are in for one hell of a treat."

Happy Friday everyone! Episode 25 of the No Quarters Required! Gaming Podcast is here! Tonights show is a big one, we have plenty of games to talk about and even more news to discuss. Since it is episode 25 I thought it would be cool to bring a long time listener onto the show, so please welcome our special guest T-Cal. He has been a devoted listener from way back and when I say way back I mean back to the Gaming Goons podcast that we used to do. We spend some time getting T-Cals opinions about the stuff that you care about, like the recent PS4 announcement and items that did or didnt resonate with him this console generation. Look for spirited debates about Injustice: Gods Among Us, Guacamelee, and Twisted Metal, guess who thinks it garbage? The show is rounded out with some of the latest gaming news from the past two weeks. Enjoy!
Oh yeah, In the intro I mistakenly state that it is Feb 18th 2013, my bad. I meant April 18th, sorry.

| Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Review | Gamer Limit
Added: 16.04.2013 23:18 | 28 views | 0 comments
Gamer Limit: "The entire experience of Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams doesnt come together in a cohesive whole often enough for it to be considered one of the great platformers, or even a really good one. Its frustrating lows, compounded by brutal difficulty spikes, dont completely outweigh the occasional highs. A great soundtrack and bright colorful visuals certainly help, but theyre just set dressing."

| Jaffe to devs: 'You are worth what you can negotiate'

God of War, Twisted Metal creator rejects "tired accusation" that publishers keep developers down.
Outspoken God of War and Twisted Metal creator David Jaffe has a message for game developers: "You are worth what you can negotiate. Period."
In response to an presenting a different opinion.
"I reject the tired accusation that it's the publisher keeping game developers down," Jaffe wrote. "Don't like the way a publisher treats you? Don't sign a contract with that particular publisher. Or if you do, make sure you have what you will and won't tolerate written into the contract."
The industry veteran added that if a studio is good enough, it will be able to find funding one way or another. Otherwise, "you deserve what you get," he wrote.
"Because at the moment the real world is making something very clear to you. And that is this: For the time being anyway, you are not as good as you think you are," Jaffe said. "The people who fight against this and complain that the world is not fair are spinning their wheels and wasting their time."
Jaffe and is currently in the process of creating a new company in San Diego, California.

MacWorld: In Twisted Pixels $3 Ms. Splosion Man for iOS, you star as an explosive molecule that has come to life. She has the personality of a hyperactive Barbie doll with an extreme penchant for shoes and blowing up all the boy scientists she finds. Like any good escaped lab experiment, your goal is to break free and cause general mayhem on the way out.

"After a modestly chaotic few weeks, we're back to the most common format of this ever-changing show, with all four members, New Business, and Listener Mail. It all starts with Guillaume's wrap-up on Lego City Undercover, which seems to be under the radar but is really working for him and others playing it on Wii U. James digs into Battalion Wars, the unusual action/strategy spin-off from GameCube's dying days. Jon gets masochistic with Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins, the PSP remake of your host's least favorite 2D platformer. One more more up Jonny's alley is Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, which he's playing in anticipation of the game's Wii U conversion later this year. With time remaining in the segment, Gui wraps back around with a severe warning on Tokyo Crash Mobs, and Jonny shares a few initial thoughts on Guacamelee.", writes NintendoWorldReport.

| Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Review | Gaming Age

Gaming Age: "Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams certainly is a pretty game, and at it's core is a decent platformer. But, that's about it. A simple platform adventure that you basically run from point A to B, throw in a boss battle, rinse and repeat. What will draw gamers in is are the stunning visuals and simple gameplay that almost anyone can get the hang of. You will see elements from other games and very little being done with them, and it's that fact that really keeps true to the Giana Sisters legacy, something borrowed and not that much new. While the world switching is a nice touch, it really doesn't distract from the fact that it's a simple game that has a hard time standing out. It's lengthy loading times, small control issues and somewhat hefty price tag are also turn offs here. If you are a Giana Sisters fan from way back, then you will no doubt grab this one. For everyone else I recommend trying out the demo, to see if you will enjoy it. It's not terrible or broken by any mea...
