Hardcore Gamer: Despite a strong string of releases in 2013, Wii U is still struggling. The last major release on the console was Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze in February, and nothing but NES Remix 2 has a solid release date before or after Mario Kart 8 on May 31. The recent Nintendo Direct dedicated to Super Smash Bros. didn't do much to reassure anyone about the console's future either; Super Smash Bros Wii U was given a winter 2014 launch window, and with only the aforementioned releases confirmed until then, it appears Wii U owners could be in for some barren months.

I liked parts of the game, and didn't like other parts. I'd have to say that I usually find upgrades in flash games unbalanced. Either they're aren't enough, or they take too much grinding, or any other number of problems. It's very hard to find that balance. Bowmaster does actually have an okay balance, but there are a million and a half upgrades, and it takes way too long to buy things. So, while I appreciate that the upgrades have a lot of depth, it didn't pan out very well in the end.

This is the trailer shown at the end of the most recent Nintendo Direct. It shows off and reveals the new characters Charizard and Geninja for Super Smash Brothers. Super Smash Brothers for 3DS will be released Summer 2014. The Wii U version will be released shortly after in Winter of 2014.

"Nintendos latest Super Smash Bros.-oriented Choksetsu Direct livestream aired at 6PM EST, bringing with it a whole slew of new information regarding the game. Super Smash Bros. Director Masahiro Sakurai kicked off the stream by announcing that the 3DS version will be releasing before the Wii U edition. The former can be expected this summer, with the Wii U release slated for Winter 2014. The stream announced a plethora of details about both versions, including the fact that the 3DS version will be running at a solid 60fps even with the 3D turned on. Fighters with alternate forms like Zelda/Sheik and Samus/Zero Suit Samus will now be divided into separate characters.
