Amanda French writes: "Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries is a 3D (or 2.5d, as GRIN likes to bill it) side scrolling platformer that was funded back in September 2014 for $72,139 on Kickstarter. It's a dark reimagining of the Little Red Riding Hood story, with a host of other storytime characters as well (such as the Pied Piper.) I'm just going to start this review off by saying I'm fairly biased against such works. They need to have really strong writing for me to accept them, like Telltale Games' A Wolf Among Us. The question is whether GRIN pulls it off"

In my review for The Sims 4 in early September 2014, I cited a user-made list of numerous features the game didn't have when propped up against its predecessors and I factored that into my ultimate score of 3.5 stars. That would be a relatively fair reaction; for longtime Sims fans, the lack of the open world, create-a-style, and build options were flaws egregious enough to blacklist The Sims 4 forevermore. But EA Maxis has been doing its best to play catch-up since then and convince them with continual patches and the upcoming expansion pack, Get to Work.

VRFocus- There was so much virtual reality (VR) related news to come out of last week's Game Developers Conference (GDC) that fans would have had a hard time staying on top of it all. That made it easy to miss several teases from CCP Games, the studio behind the popular EVE franchise which is currently working on EVE: Valkyrie for the Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus head-mounted displays (HMD). However, instead of teases for its upcoming multiplayer flight sim, it looks like the developer is pointing towards some new VR tech demos for the Oculus rift and beyond.
