| Review - Xeodrifter | Use A Potion
Added: 16.09.2015 22:17 | 31 views | 0 comments
"Whilst Xeodrifter first made its appearance last year, its not until its arrival on Playstation platforms that Ive even heard of it, let alone play it. Id been missing out on a real indie gem. I wont pretend its perfect; the lacking variety in boss design and the fake sense of freedom let it down slightly. You can look past all that easily though when you consider that all of Xeodrifters pros outweigh the cons; youve got the great retro style visuals, enjoyable level designs offering plenty of exploration, robust weapon customisation with plenty of different enemies to kill and one of the best chip tune soundtracks Ive heard in a long time. Youll get through the game quite quickly, but its something youll find yourself visiting time and time again. I think its time Renegade Kid get working on a sequel"

| Evoland 2- SteamFirst Review: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder, an RPG through the ages
Added: 15.09.2015 14:17 | 64 views | 0 comments
SteamFirst: Ive played the first Evoland and Im gonna go ahead and say that Evoland II is far better than the first one. Shiro games, the dev company, clearly took the time to find what made their first game work, kept those elements, and then added improved, new content to the 2nd game. This makes the experience, overall, above and beyond the one before it. Youll participate in metroid-like platforming, Zelda puzzles, pop culture references (and, unfortunately, some memes), and even see characters reminiscent of Elizabeth from Bioshock, piranha plants from Mario, Sakura from Street Fighter, and many, many more, as well as exploring a centralized story line with original characters.

Palmer Sturman: Youve just awoken from stasis on a hulking spacecraft you have no recollection of ever being on. Youre alone and horribly injured, clinging to life while attempting to find answers. As you meander down the corridors you find streaks of blood, entrails, and other less identifiable fluids, all painting a graphic and violent picture of desperation, leaving you with even more questions and a terrifying sense of wonder. Welcome to Stasis, a 2D isometric adventure game that feels and plays like it was ripped directly from the late 90s. Reminiscent of games like Sanitarium and Crusader, Stasis captures the feel and essence of popular older titles, but presents an attention to horrifying atmosphere and detail in the way only a modern title can.

Youre the video game writer person, said one of my friends last night. What do you think of Metal Gear Solid V? I looked down at my Shadow Moses shirt, slightly embarrassed. I havent played it much, I confessed. Ive been spending most of my time with Mad Max.

Nostalgia will get the best of some of us on this one. Everyone has some kind of fond memory of their child hood. For many kinds growing up in the mid-80s or 90s, there is a good chance that Nintendo or Sega games were in some way a small part of that.
