Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is the prequel/prologue to the highly anticipated The Phantom Pain which will be out in 2015 (exact date unknown). Fans of the franchise have waited too long and Konami hoped Ground Zeroes would serve as an appetizer, It managed to did more than that.

Not bad for what some are calling a gloried demo.
Shipped indicates the figure refers to only retail units shipped to retailers, so doesn't offer an accurate picture of the game's sales both in store and via digital channels. We're checking with Konami UK for clarification on this.
The announcement came as Konami announced that the Déjà vu and Jamais Vu platform exclusive missions would be released for all platforms on May 1.
