Whilst Capcom doesn't state that the upcoming game is a Resident Evil title, why else would the competition be themed...
The scenario raises alarming similarities to last year's Aliens: Colonial Marines controversy, with the earlier footage showcasing noticeably superior graphics to those found in the final console versions.
The differences lead to certain sequences, such as those highlighted in the video below, appearing radically different to their earlier showing. A variety of other comparisons have also been documented by industry forum NeoGAF.
The game is even alleged to have been downgraded since last year's PlayStation 3 beta.
Creative Assembly's strategy breaks one million units sold as second Campaign DLC is announced.
Hannibal at the Gates introduces a brand new campaign map set in the western Mediterranean, and sees Rome and Carthage scrapping at the start of the second Punic War.
Three new factions are also featured, including the Arevaci, the Lusitani and Syracuse, while Rome and Carthage each get a brand new diplomacy-based civil tech tree.
As well as announcing the new DLC, SEGA revealed that Total War: Rome 2 had sold over 1 million units by the end of 2013 and "remains that fastest-selling and most commercially successful Total War game to date".
Produced in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics, the 10,000 run set features three real-life lore books packed with new fiction and art. The books come from the Second Era and feature tales which can't be found anywhere else.
The $100 set comes packaged in a heavy-duty clamshell including a miniature lithograph in a numbered portfolio.
272 pages are spread across three books:
Kyne's Challenge: A Hunter's Companion Hardcover bestiary bound in faux-leather, with full emboss/deboss and spot foil on cover and spine. 168 gold gilded pages with a ribbon marker...
The new touch-screen version sees players reprising the role of amateur physician Nigel Burke who must operate on Bob to perform the heart and double-kidney transplants from Surgeon Simulator 2013. The iPad version also boasts two new surgeries: teeth and eye.
There's also the option to operate outside of the theatre on a moving trolley in the hospital corridors. Players can also take part in multiplayer and record then upload botched surgeries.
However, if you have an older iPad you may want to consider whether it's up to the task of running the game before splashing...
The Soho location was only ever a temporary arrangement and the hunt is now on for a permanent venue.
"It's been an amazing 12 months starting with the pop up which drew so much support but it's time to secure a permanent space more fit for purpose," Loading owner James Dance told MCV.
"It's been great to carve out a niche offering up a space where triple-A takes a place alongside niche titles and put games in the hands of people that would never normally be reached."
The bar will close a week on Friday, but promises to have a new space before the end of the...
Cyberpunk in development by a separate team within CD Projekt Red.
"Cyberpunk 2077 is developed by a separate team within CD Projekt Red, so the development of Cyberpunk 2077 is not really affected," CEO of the CD Projekt Marcin Iwinski explained.
He added: "We are working hard to deliver an outstanding RPG and rest assured, that all the learnings on The Witcher 3 are being applied to the Cyberpunk 2077 development."
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released no earlier than 2015 on as yet unspecified platforms. Players will be thrown into the dark future of the year 2077 and into a world where advanced technologies have become both the...
Sony unwilling to discuss platforms and who's working on the heavily delayed title.
"You're going to be very frustrated by this answer," Rohde said, "but it is 100 per cent the God's honest truth, and that is that we want to make great games. And when we see that the public is so interested in a specific game, of course that drives us to want to complete that game. But it also drives us to want to make it great. We would not want to ship that game if we don't think it's great."
As for specifics relating to what platforms the game may be released on, Rohde said he's "not going to announce what platform it's coming on, who's working on it, who's involved. But that...
Cox live streamed the epic feat on Twitch, passing the one million mark with the Titanfall Xbox One Achievement, "I like a Challenge".
After reaching the milestone, he commented: "Eight years, three months, I don't know how many days.
"Many many hours, many many nights, I can't even explain how much I've put into this. I put my heart and soul into every minute and every day of just doing this ... all those zeroes. I can't even explain it."
Cox became the first person to hit half a million back in 2010, and has been targeting the one million score ever...
But last-gen version is "getting better every day", engineer says.
"Bluepoint's developing [the Xbox 360 version] and we've mostly been hands-off, letting them make their own technical decisions," Baker explained to Digital Foundry. "It seems pretty close [in terms of] feature parity and they're still working on getting the frame-rate up. I'm not sure about the resolution..."
Baker's comments raise concerns about the last-gen version which has yet to been shown, and it still isn't known what frame rate or resolution developer Bluepoint is targeting.
The game had originally been due to launch alongside the Xbox One and PC versions...
Had hoped the GPU time-slice from OS elements such as Kinect would be available at launch.
Titanfall ships on Xbox One with a native resolution of 1408x792, but there's hope this will eventually be boosted, but it won't happen on day one.
"We've been experimenting with making it higher and lower," Baker explained. "One of the big tricks is how much ESRAM we're going to use, so we're thinking of not using hardware MSAA and instead using FXAA to make it so we don't have to have this larger render target. We're going to experiment. The target is either 1080p non-anti-aliased or 900p with FXAA. We're trying to optimise... we don't want to give up anything for higher...
The game features a story-driven campaign, turn-based combat and an in-depth crafting system.
The game features a story-driven campaign, turn-based combat and an in-depth crafting system, much like any other RPG, only this one also features Angry Birds.
Crafting will enable players to make armour, potions and weapons using resources won in the game, or acquired with real world money.
The unfinished game will roll out in Canada and Australia this week, with the final game set to launch worldwide later this year for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8.
Was online shooter meant to be a last-gen-only game?
"Originally we weren't planning on an Xbox One version of the game," lead engineer Richard Baker told Digital Foundry in a new interview explaining the tech behind Titanfall. "I'm certain that having an Xbox One version has made our PC version much better - it justified the effort in moving to DX11 and even 64-bit."
But if the game wasn't originally scheduled for Microsoft's next-gen console, what platforms did the developer have in mind, and when was the game originally planned to release? Baker doesn't say, but a last-gen/PC release seems most likely.
