Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, Mighty No. 9, Uncharted 4, Rainbow Six Siege: what do these games have in common? They were all delayed at least once. Games get delayed on a more frequent basis with each passing year, to the point that it becomes hard to believe a release date when it's first announced. At this point I assume big-name titles are going to be delayed. When a game actually comes out on schedule, I'm mildly surprised.
The Metal Gear franchise is one of the best-selling in the gaming industry with over 41 million copies sold. To many, it holds a special place in the heart for its adrenaline-pumping espionage action and admirable characters. To others, its a series that's noteworthy for its story complexity, often veering into the realm of insanity.

With Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain upon us, which may very well be the last Metal Gear made by creator Hideo Kojima, now's a great time to look back at some of the more ridiculous elements of the franchise. It certainly has a lot of them, but there are a few which stand out as the most bizarre that AAA games have to offer.
Delays have become commonplace in video games nowadays, and Rainbow Six Siege joins the long line of games to be pushed back by a few months. Now the game will come out on December 1.

Persona 5 skipped E3, leading some to wonder if it would be released within 2015 even in its native Japan, much less foreign territories. Atlus USA, however, remains firm on the notion that the game will be coming out — and in North America, no less — before the end of this year.
During the PlayStation 2 era, two Sony franchises dominated the furry-friendly action/puzzle/platforming genre: Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. While yes, I guess you could make a case for tossing Sly Cooper in there as well, there's no denying the two big guns were Jak and his trusty orange Ottsel, and the galaxy-traveling Lombax who befriends a wise little robot named Clank.
Paris Games Week kicks off in... well... Paris, France this October, and the PlayStation manufacturer will be holding a media briefing at the expo.
Sony has started sending out invites to select members of the press, detailing its "PlayStation Media Preview," which will air on Jeux Video on October 27 at 5 PM UK time, 9 AM PT. Here's a look at the invite that was sent to GameSpot (I'm still furiously refreshing my email inbox in the hopes of receiving one myself!).
Sadly, Sony offered no hint as to what it will be showing, but that isn't going to stop us from speculating what the house of PlayStation may have in store for fans. Seeing as how the event takes place in France, in incredibly close proximity to Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream, perhaps we'll get a glimpse at its new project.

Renamed Grandia II Anniversary Edition, it will feature a harder difficulty level and upgraded visuals. For a limited time, it will be $14.99, and then move to $19.99.
It's with a worrying tilt of the eyebrow that Microsoft's End User License Agreement on Windows 10 (it's not really a recent change) allows Microsoft to disable pirate games and hardware from your component.
As noticed by Alphr, Section 7b entitled "Updates to the Services or Software, and Changes to These Terms," Microsoft "may automatically check your version of the software and download software update or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorized hardware peripheral devices."

So you put 100+ hours into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and beat the game. You feel aimless and don't know what to play next. How about more of The Witcher 3 with the game's new game plus mode?
[Update] There's only one day left for you to score the Humble Bandai Namco Bundle, which has already sold over 122,000 copies. Two games, Star Trek and Beware Planet Earth!, have been added to the second tier, where you can pay more than the average of $6.74 to unlock (at the time of this writing). Methinks that the Pac-Man Championship DX+ All You Can Eat Edition Bundle is worth the $1.00 at least.
It feels like it's been years since the virtual reality craze began. Because, well, it has. Ever since Oculus VR hit Kickstarter in 2012 the desire for consumer-grade VR has been rampant. Soon, other companies would invest in realizing their vision for VR, including Sony with its Project Morpheus.
For many PC gamers, June 23rd, 2015 was a frustrating day they'll never forget. The PC release of Batman: Arkham Knight fell well short of expectations, burdened with performance issues and bugs that made the minute-to-minute gameplay experience a test of patience.
Sometimes, it happens that I play multiple games in a row of a specific genre or style. And it actually can help me to approach a new game, since IÄ‚Ë€â„Ëll have a point of comparison. I mean, was a game I had a lot of time to play, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. IÄ‚Ë€â„Ëm still firing it up to keep advancing through dungeons, fighting monsters, getting stronger. Even the story's characters, somewhat-standard archetypes for a dungeon-crawler, were filled with cheeky and personal dialogue that made them feel unique, characters I didnÄ‚Ë€â„Ët mind spending so much time with and weren't simple one-dimensional personality stand-ins.
If you were hoping to see the like of Garrus, Miranda, or Tali in the next entry in BioWare's Mass Effect franchise, you're probably going to be disappointed, as it appears there are no plans to include any of the characters from the original trilogy in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

A playable demo will be at this yearÄ‚Ë€â„Ës Tokyo Game Show, meaning I'll have to go play it while a booth attendant barks at me as if I have no idea how to play Phantasy Star Online. The Vita game was a free download and free to play, but itÄ‚Ë€â„Ës not yet specified whether that will change with PS4.
