The Skyrim Script Extender, typically abbreviated SKSE, has finally been released as a separate entry on Steam after nearly four years. But unless you've modded The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim before, you probably have little idea what the hell I'm talking about.
Developer Techland announced Dying Light: The Following back in late July, a brand new expansion for the open-world survival horror game. Now the company has released a reveal trailer for the upcoming release.
Two years ago Polyphony Digital shared with Famitsu that Gran Turismo 7 will out within a year or two. Not long after that, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi told Top Gear that "Gran Turismo 7 is coming in 2014." For racing enthusiasts, it was the greatest thing that could have been said about the game.
The latest Wii U Virtual Console release is Pandora's Tower, a 2013 Wii RPG that comes out on the service today. It's great to see Wii games on the Virtual Console, but it doesn't make up for the fact that Nintendo hasn't supported the digital platform as well as many expected. The company has a history of fantastic games on various platforms, but only a small fraction of those have been re-released on the Wii U Virtual Console.
Fallout Shelter, which excitingly debuted on iOS devices in June during Bethesda's E3 press conference, is finally available worldwide for Android devices. So wait, why am I writing this? I'm download it now... hold on a sec.
To say that Rare Replay has a lot of content would be an understatement. With 30 games included, a few of which contain 20 hour adventures to experience, completing the package requires weeks if not months of effort. In this case, this long completion time isn't only relevant for achievement hunters, either. There is over one hour of behind-the-scenes footage of Rare that makes tackling the game's many challenges an alluring option for even the most completion-averse.

Let's be real, a very small minority of gamers who get Rare Replay are ever going to unlock each of its over a dozen videos. Thankfully, several users on YouTube have begun to share the many unlockable videos. Out of them, the "Making Of" and "Previously Unseen" are must watches as they demonstrate the process behind how the studio made its most successful games, as well as showing five titles that never saw the light of day.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain comes out in just a few short weeks, and what better way to celebrate the upcoming release than with an episode of Challenge Accepted featuring Big Boss. In this episode I play through Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes with one special catch: no kills allowed. To my surprise, I actually completed the challenge.
The relationship between Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima and Konami is rocky at best. Not only does it appear the brilliant game designer will be parting ways with the publisher once Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is out the door, Konami has gone so far as to remove his name and studio logo from the front of the game's box.
Western gamers won't be looking at those in Japan with envy as they wait for Final Fantasy XV to be localized. Nope, Japanese gamers won't be getting preferential treatment this time around, as FFXV will be getting a simultaneous release all across the globe sometime next year.
It seems like eons ago that I bought the Warcraft 3: Collector's Edition the day it came out, but I did not have the computer to run it until five years later. I felt like I had to own it no matter the circumstances, and that's the kind of power Blizzard has had over the PC gaming world since they first introduced Warcraft in 1994. So when they say they are considering Warcraft 4, the world listens.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker just about wrapped up the Metal Gear saga. At the end of the game, Mother Base became the prototype Outer Heaven, and Big Boss had his prototype Metal Gear. It's no surprise, then, that The Phantom Pain, which takes place directly after the events of the PSP title, looks a lot like a big budget version of Peace Walker, expanding on its base-building mechanic and collecting-minded gameplay.
Super Mario Maker looks great, and Nintendo's new overview video of the game follows suit. It also includes an important bit of information on the creation aspect of the game and how some of the creation tools won't be available on day one.
Last week, police investigated star forward for the Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Kane in his hometown of Hamburg, New York over allegations of rape. The latest details which have been reported say the woman in her 20s behind the accusation had bite marks on her shoulders and a scratch on her leg.
The closed-theatre demo for Fallout 4 at gamescom 2015 has been leaked... on Pornhub. Of course it has. Thank you, Internet.
Again, I can't emphasize enough that this is NSFW. If you're at all sensitive about stuff like this, just be ready to fullscreen the video before you pay any attention to all of the other videos surrounding the demo.
Capcom has been leaning heavily on the Resident Evil franchise lately with the release of Resident Evil HD Remaster and the upcoming HD update of Resident Evil 0. Now Resident Evil 2 can also be added to the list.
When P.T. was announced during Sony's Gamescom 2014 Press Conference many thought little of it. A trailer showing women sitting in a dark room screaming was nothing new to see for Horror fans. The free price of admission is what lured most gamers to give it a try.
From the developers of "walking simulator," Dear Esther, and the "not exactly walking simulator," , comes a new "game" for "gamers" to "play" "exclusively" on their "Playstation 4" "video game" "consoles." [This is "commentary." ~Ed. Nick] The Chinese Room brings you EverybodyÄ‚Ë€â„Ës Gone to the Rapture this time around, and frankly, whatever manner of mental gymnastics you need to perform to accept it in this space, itÄ‚Ë€â„Ës a wonderful example of non-traditional storytelling in our favorite medium. ItÄ‚Ë€â„Ës not without its kinks, but while watching the credits scroll at the end, I just felt in awe of what I experienced.
You can fault Nintendo for plenty of things, but half-baked annualized releases is certainly not one of them. The house of Mario is focused on quality over quantity, being careful not to run its franchises into the ground by oversaturating the market.
Originally released in December 2014, exclusively for PlayStation consoles, Super Mega Baseball gave baseball fans an arcade game that would not only entertain with goofy animations and design features, but also bring a solid foundation that could compete with the heavyweight titles fans are accustomed to playing, notably MLB: The Show and MLB 2K. Fast forward to the present, developer Metalhead Software has completed its Xbox One version of the title (to be on Steam too in a week), slapped the suffix "Extra Innings," added a few new ingredients, and said "Game on!"
Divinity: Original Sin II has just been announced by Larian Studios. This sequel to its popular 2014 role-playing game will be seeking funding on Kickstarter later this month.
