Every year brings a new Assassin's Creed game, and along with it a mobile app. Ubisoft plans to buck the trend this year though, as Assassin's Creed Syndicate will not have a companion app.
According to publisher Ubisoft, EA Sports will be doing twice as much work in FIFA 16 as they have heretofore done on soccer games. That's right, this game has women in it.
As you can see in the trailer above, you can now play as the women's national teams for Germany, USA, France, Sweden, England, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Spain, China, Italy, and Mexico.
With the recent delays of both Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Insomniac Games' Ratchet & Clank remake to 2016, Sony's slate of first-party exclusive content for 2015 is looking rather slim.
This particular episode of Challenge Accepted comes courtesy of a GR user suggestion. The Last of Us encourages stealth and inventive approaches to combat, and that's only amplified when guns aren't allowed. It's quite an adjustment, but I'm not against punching a bunch of zombie-like creatures right in their stupid faces.
Microsoft is gearing up to release a new controller for Xbox One, complete with a built-in headphone jack—that is, according to the Xbox Support website, which highlights the addition of a 3.5mm headphone port at the base of the unit.
WildStar, the colorful, action-oriented MMORPG by Carbine Studios, will be dropping its subscription model and will be going free-to-play this fall. Mike Donatelli, product director for Carbine Studios, believes that "removing the subscription cost will give everyone who loves MMOs... a chance to try WildStar."
Both retailer GameStop and Amazon have rather silently pushed back the release date for Mortal Kombat X on PS3 and Xbox 360 to a placeholder date of December 31, 2015.
The last-gen SKUs for the game by High Voltage Software, who were responsible for the PC version, were meant to be released alongside the next-gen version in April but were delayed until a vague "summer" release.
Splatoon comes out later this week, and our very own Ryan Bates says it's a lot of fun in his review. Unfortunately European users who placed Splatoon orders with the UK retailer GAME were hit with some unfortunate news earlier today.
We make the transition from May to June next week, and with that comes a new batch of games for PlayStation Plus users. Sony announced the list of games earlier this morning.
The most noteworthy title in the lineup is Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the latest entry in the iconic stealth franchise. It's only a small warm-up to this year's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but it previews some of the open world mechanics Kojima plans to introduce to the next main entry, albeit in a smaller environment.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt might only be a week old, but its mod community has already taken off. CD Projekt Red was true to its word when it stated that it was welcoming to modders, and that has paid off in a big way.

There are already hundreds of mods available to install for the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, some better than others. Below you will find 10 of the best on the marketplace.
SweetFX + Reshade [Editor's Choice]
SweetFX is more of a preset configuration than a mod. Nonetheless, it is the most popular among all the changes you can make to the base game. My first time using it absolutely blew me away, replacing the dry appearance of the vanilla experience with something full of color and contrast. This combination of mods along with CineFX preset transforms The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt into an astoundingly beautiful game without impacting performance.
What you see above is a huge deal in the world of PC gaming. After two years of Dota 2 reigning as the most popular game on Steam by a huge margin, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has risen above its popularity, at least in terms of current players thanks to Dota 2's reliance on Eastern players.
It appears we're going to have a bit of waiting to do before we hear anything more about Cyberpunk 2077 the next game in development at CD Projekt RED, the studio that just recently released the critically acclaimed and wildly popular The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Halo 3: ODST's release date for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming in just a couple days, on May 29, according to a leaked listing on Xbox.com.
The listing, which was first spotted by IGN, has since been pulled, and Microsoft has yet to formally announce a launch date for the Xbox One release, so stay tuned for future updates. Something tells me we'll get word from the Big M very, very soon.
This week's free downloadable content for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been detailed by CD Projekt RED. Two add-ons are being released, the first of which is a new contract mission, while the other is an alternative skin for Yennifer.
Natsuiro High School is about a boy who probably needs professional help. Above, you can kinda see why. Above and below, in fact.
He's on his back in one shot, belly in the other, ready to crawl along that there floor with that there camera and take pictures of what's under them there skirts. I've got no idea why I have switched into redneck mode for this post. Here's a pair of trailers showing the up-skirt photo taking gameplay as well as the other stuff you can do in this game.
Well that just wasn't enough:
The visually impressive Project CARS is already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Developer Slightly Mad Studios continues to work on a Wii U version, but it's been a tumultuous process.
The lineup for Guitar Hero Live continues to grow, and Activision has revealed the next batch of songs for its weekly "Tracklist Tuesday" feature.
Some unconventional artists such as Skrillex make appearances in Guitar Hero Live, but the 10 songs announced today stick closely to the rock and metal genres. They include:
"Love Bites (So Do I)" — Halestorm
"Tribute" — Tenacious D
"I Have A Problem" — Beartooth
"Mind Your Manners" — Pearl Jam
"Tragedy + Time" — Rise Against
"Been Away Too Long"— Soundgarden
"Got the Time" — Anthrax
"Gravedigger" — Architects
"The Clincher" — Chevelle
"Right Back At It Again" — A Day to Remember
I recognize names like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but those appear to be more recent songs. Oh well, I guess I played enough "Evenflow" in Rock Band 2.
Player counts for Evolve have started to dwindle, but 2K Games and developer Turtle Rock Studios hope to bring back more players with the brand new arena mode, available today.
Arena mode is part of a free update for all platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As the name implies, matches exclusively take place in the mobile arena. There's no hunting whatsoever, just four hunters trying to put down a gigantic monster.
Humble Bundles always include PC games, but for the first time ever a major console company is teaming up to offer games and raise money for charity. That company is Nintendo.
The Humble Nindie Bundle includes a series of eShop games this time around. 3DS and Wii U owners can pay what they want for Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Woah Dave!, and Mighty Switch Force.
Sony released the 1.04 patch for Bloodborne yesterday, and it includes quite a few tweaks and additions to the action RPG.
The two most important changes pertain to the password and storage systems. The patch allows friends to join each other with password matchmaking regardless of level. As for storage, players can now put away 600 blood vials and quicksilver bullets. The previous limit was 99.
