Above, there's a guy with an accent I can't identify talking about a lot of shit I don't understand.
What I know for sure is that he's playing Destiny and farming the hell out of Treasure Keys. In that video, Arekkz Gaming shows how to get them from Ether Chests by running back and forth across zone lines. If you're into Destiny, you might want to get in and grab your goods now before Bungie patches it out.
In other news, update 1.2.0.1 is out and will take effect May 19 at 1:00pm Eastern Time. If you're outside of EST and happen to be too much of a fucking dingbat to subtract one, or two, or three from that time in order to figure out what time it is in your time zone, then you've got bigger problems than Destiny updates.
All versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have become available this evening. As players begin their long-awaited RPG adventure, some have hit the internet to share their initial impressions. That means we finally get to hear about how the PC version fares.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata will miss another E3 this year as he focuses on business in Japan.
According to IGN, Iwata won't be in attendance at the event in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, he plans to be in "constant contact" with the team in L.A. as they prepare for the digital conference and Treehouse showcase.
Electronic Arts plans to reveal the next entry in the Need for Speed series later this week.
The news comes from an image on the Need for Speed Facebook page. Apparently fans will be able to "see the first look at the return of NFS" on May 21. The accompanying link to the official YouTube page hints at the possibility of an announcement trailer.
Capcom struck gold with the Resident Evil remaster earlier this year, and the company plans to revisit HD remasters in an effort to replicate its success.
The company discussed the topic in a recent financial briefing. The Q&A section specifically details HD remasters and how they provide a compelling business opportunity for the company. More specifically Capcom states, "HD remasters of our catalogue hit titles will be one of our key business activities."
Well, here it is, the most hyped RPG of 2015. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been at the top of "most anticipated" charts for more than two years, and tomorrow it hits store shelves.
The fourth main entry in the Doom series has been kept under tight wraps so far, but an official gameplay reveal is close with E3 just around the corner. Bethesda has released a short teaser trailer to build the anticipation.
Casey Hudson played a prominent role at BioWare before his departure, leading the development of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect series. Now he makes the transition to an even bigger company: Microsoft.
Rising Tide has been announced as the first expansion pack for Firaxis Games' Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth. It will release in Fall 2015 on PC, with Aspyr being in charge of the Mac and Linux ports, for $29.99.
PC is the platform of focus for the Oculus Rift, as the virtual reality headset company has opted to put development for Linux and OS X platforms on hold for the time being.
"Our development for OS X and Linux has been paused in order to focus on delivering a high quality consumer-level VR experience at launch across hardware, software, and content on Windows," Oculus Chief Architect Atman Binstock said in a post on the Oculus blog. "We want to get back to development for OS X and Linux but we donÄ‚Ë€â„Ët have a timeline."
Square Enix has announced that an updated version of the Final Fantasy XV demo Episode Duscae will be coming in early June.
Called Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae 2.00, improvements listed by Dengeki are frame-rate stabilization, camera control, some battle modifications, combination attacks, bug fixes, and balance. The popular Japanese media outlet cites Square Enix's Active Time Report as the hint for these predicted tweaks.
With just a month to go until E3 2015, we can't help but think about what big announcements are on the horizon. With so many publishers involved, and the health of console and PC gaming, the sky is the limit when it comes to what E3 can bring.
After meeting its Kickstarter goal in only a day, Yooka-Laylee went on to become the UK's most crowdfunded game project to date. With plenty of time to go, it sits above pound;1,625,500, or well over 20.6 billion Laotian Kip.
Shiro Games has released a new trailer for Evoland 2, a game which takes players on an evolutionary journey through the history of video games. You'll start out with blocky old-school graphics and progress your way upwards, as demonstrated in the above video. You'll also dabble in all kinds of different genres and sub-genres from across gaming. Pretty cool, eh?
The original Evoland was a Ludum Dare winner back in 2012. (That's an independent game making contest. Solo devs have to get in there and make a game about a specific theme, and do so in less than 48 hours.) It went on to get a full, official release.
Sega's PS3 and PS4 action RPG Yakuza 0 adds multiplayer minigames to an already outstanding single-player adventure. Apart from the disco dancing rhythm game, these are all playable with a single controller, which is nice. Playing as Kiryu and Majima, you and a friend can enjoy simple yet well-made rounds of darts, billiards, bowling, and disco dancing. Check out screenshots from my own PS4 in the gallery below:

The dancing game is particularly interesting because it rewards doing extra flashy stuff before your timing cues. In most other music games, you tap to the tune, in time, and that's what you do. In the above, you need to move your icon around the board to the proper space, then hit the button displayed right on cue, but it gives bonus points for taking extra steps. So you can go the safe route and take two steps, wait, and hit it; or you can live dangerously and try to squeeze in an extra step or two.
Atlus USA is edumacating the masses about its upcoming RPG Lost Dimension. Above, we meet Sho, Yoko, and Toya.
Below, we've got Sojiro, Zenji, and Himeno. All these cats are members of SEALED and ready to fight the bad guys in tactical RPG style.
Lost Dimension is due out in North America on July 28, with Euro release to follow shortly thereafter. For the first two weeks, DLC that includes maps and costumes will be free, and then after that, they jack up the price.
Yep, that's your little pal Nanako dancing to what sounds like the Junes theme song and what I feel like might be... yeah, is that a Junes employee uniform? The last time I played Persona 4, I didn't end up going there.
Poets have called the 16th of May "just another Saturday," but this weekend, I'll be spending time remembering days gone by. Above, you'll see my recent purchases of The 7th Saga, Actraiser, Super Metroid, and Link to the Past.
Looking to buy something from the PSN Store or do some online gaming? Too bad, the PSN is unexpectedly down. It's not like earlier this week, when we had some maintenance; this is the problematic kind of downtime. Sony's official status page says that "Services are experiencing issues."
So much of our American culture is focused on food. Many people will tell you that's an issue, but I say quit whining and sit down at the table with us. From power lunches to midnight snacks, birthday cakes to Christmas cookies, quick breakfasts on-the-go to slow-cooked meals, if it's a special occasion or a not-so-special occasion, food can (and probably is) involved.
