GungHo America has announced that Grandia II, the beloved Dreamcast Japanese role-playing game from developer Game Arts, is making its way to PC in the form of a remastered port.
NIS America has released the opening movie for upcoming PS3/PSVita tactical RPG Lost Dimension. The video itself doesn't really tell you much about the game, but that's why there's a press release to tell you approximately what it should be like, and also to save me from having to relay actual information. Now is when I copy and paste, carefully skimming for things that look like they should be in boldface or italics.
A Cataclysmic Whodunnit - Not only will players have to keep their eyes focused on
strategically defeating the enemies laying in wait on the field of combat, but they need to
carefully watch party members' tendencies in order to expose the traitor. At the end of every
floor, players will be forced to vote and eliminate one of their trusted allies, and the
consequences for choosing incorrectly could be dire.
This September in Japan, Nippon Ichi will be re-releasing PS3 RPG The Witch and the Hundred Knight in an updated form for PS4, going under the title of The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival.
E3 2015, which is taking place June 16-18 this year, is arriving fast (so soon?), and there are already quite a few shake-ups. In the absence of a Nintendo press conference, Bethesda and Square Enix are having their first E3 press conference, in addition to the new PC Gaming Show sponsored by PC Gamer magazine and AMD. We already know that Nintendo won't be showing The Legend of Zelda for Wii U nor anything about the NX console, and the usual mainstay Sega won't have a booth at E3 2015 this year.
Nintendo NX, the next piece of dedicated gaming hardware from the house of Mario, might be region free, according to Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata.
However, don't expect to see the region locks currently in place for Wii U and 3DS to disappear anytime soon. In an Q&A session with investors (as translated by NeoGAF), Iwata explained:
Removing region-locking from current game machines presents various issues, so we don't consider that to be very realistic.
[Update]: The project successfully reached its $500,000 funding goal within the first five hours. It currently sits at $673,669.
[Original]: Famed Castlevania designer Koji Igarashi left Konami last year, which immediately led to speculation on his next project. Well, Igarashi has officially launched the Kickstarter for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Steam has been in the news a lot recently with the introduction of paid mod support and its quick removal, but now there's a more positive story coming from Valve regarding its digital platform. Steam has broken the concurrent user record once again.
It looks like Nintendo will focus on the Wii U and 3DS at E3 this year, as the company doesn't plan to make any announcements regarding its mobile game development or next console.
According to Kotaku, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata expressed his company's desire to showcase current hardware in a recent investors meeting.
Although it appeared that we would have to wait until The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's May 19th launch to see what its Xbox One version looks like, CD Projekt Red decided that today would be the best day to share what Xbox fans can expect from the final build.

As I sit here reading the latest big topics in gaming discussion, I'm awe-struck at how "downgradation" has once again found its way into headlines. In case you haven't heard, it appears that The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is the latest game to be surrounded in controversy.
Arrowhead Studios will soon be releasing a free expansion to the multiplayer action hit Helldivers, called Turning Up the Heat. Here we see designer Patrik Lasota outlining new objectives.
Arrowhead says another video can be expected within the week, showing even more details about Turning Up the Heat, and then the release should soon follow.
ARK: Survival Evolved is the dinosaur video game you've always wanted, or at least that's what Studio Wildcard is shooting for. As a self-described "open-world dinosaur survival game," the newly announced ARK is what Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon would be if it were treated like a main Far Cry game... with a little Turok and DayZ thrown in for good measure.
Dishonored is getting re-released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, if a listing on the Brazilian Advisory Ratings Board is any indication.
Just like Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, a listing for what will apparently be titled Dishonored Definitive Edition has popped up on the Brazilian-based ratings website. One would reasonably assume that, if this project is in fact real, it will be coming later this year to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, complete with all of the original game's DLC, as well a fresh coat of paint.
Hucast, the independent game developers who brought sidescrolling shooter Dux and its upgrade ReDux to the Dreamcast in recent years, have announced that more bullet hell is on the way.
Details are scarce at the moment, as the game is about a year away from its release window of May 2016, but we know that Redux 2 will include seven stages (up from six), a soundtrack by GRG, and the same kind of fast-action SHMUP gameplay as the original.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has been listed by the Brazilian Advisory Ratings Board.
The listing, which doesn't reveal much other than the game's title and the obvious fact that Microsoft Studios is the publisher, adds weight to prior reports that surfaced just a couple weeks ago in which an anonymous inside source let slip that the original Gears of War was getting a new-gen makeover for Xbox One.
Mother's Day is upon us, so let's be total pieces of shit and honor digital representations of mothers before the actual women who brought us into the world.
Possible spoilers for pretty much every game listed. Cloud's Mom (Final Fantasy VII)
When main character Cloud Strife is telling us about his past in Final Fantasy VII, one of the few things he remembers accurately is the long talk with his mom. Reminiscing, Cloud notes that his mother looked fine and "a few days later, she died." Within that time, Sephiroth burned a good part of the fucking town.
The Witcher series has come a long way since 2007's The Witcher, developing from a more strategic title to a hardcore action RPG title. Check out how the gameplay has evolved in the video below!:
Square Enix is almost ready to bring the former free-to-play mobile exclusive Rise of Mana to the PlayStation Vita. So almost ready, in fact, that you can totally download it from the Japanese PlayStation Store on May 14. When the game actually releases, you'll then be able to access it. Until then, it just kind of sits there not doing anything, perhaps in subtle reference to Square Enix's R&D team.
Set to launch on July 14, Bandai Namco has a new video showcasing the Vs. mode of the PS4's new Godzilla game. It's actually multiplatform with a PS3 version releasing on the same day, but that won't have the multiplayer features contained within the PS4 version.
