Deep Silver will be bringing Risen 3: Titan Lords Enhanced Edition to the PlayStation 4, a package which includes the original game and post-release content. Set to sell for $39.99, the pack will be available on August 21 in North America as a digital download. In Europe, there will also be a physical version available, because Europe apparently keeps it way more real than North America.
PlayStation UK spent some time with the PS4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and now delivers this gameplay video:
Wait, crap, no, that is a different video that popped up when I searched for "Wild Hunt." I mean, don't stop or anything. Check out Duran Duran too, and when that's over, move to this:
So apparently a bug in the system went back and, I don't know, gobbled up a few articles from the past? Fortunately, the last What Are You Playing entry I wrote still holds true, as I've still been rocking the portables. Maybe you're one of the 22 people who saw the slideshow below during the alleged server freakout, maybe you didn't. It's still what I'm playing!
The video game experience, especially on consoles, has come a long way. Nowadays, gamers arenÄ‚Ë€â„Ët content with merely good gameplay or even great graphics. New franchises must break new ground in the realm of interactive fiction or be as good as any real-life competitive sport in the online multiplayer-verse. The charm (and frustration) of a game like Tropico 5 is that it acts like the last decade of gaming never happened. Like weÄ‚Ë€â„Ëre all still looking at cartoony board games on our screens in an attempt to replay Parker Brothers' Risk over and over.
When I played The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings many things astonished me, but Saskia's storyline stood out among the rest. It's an example of a well-written female leader and how branching paths in video games can significantly change the experience.
***VIDEO CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE WITCHER 2***
What you see above isn't just a crazy video, it's a crazy video that perfectly encapsulates why modding PC games is so awesome. Featuring Grand Theft Auto V, the video shows off several mods that come together to make something absolutely magical.

Capcom has softly upheld its "next spring" release window for Street Fighter V in its latest earnings report. The game will apparently release during this fiscal year, meaning that it will come before March 31, 2016.
Last week Bungie launched a T-shirt campaign to raise money for the relief effort over in Nepal following its devastating earthquake. In that short amount of time the Bungie community has raised over $400,000.
If you love cars, then I hope by now that you've played Project CARS. It's one of the best racing simulators in years. That not only means that you get to drive in several of the most esteemed vehicles on the planet, but visit locations that dreams are made of.
Plenty of games push pre-orders in the buyer's face just for the sake of guaranteed money, but it appears that's not entirely the case with Rock Band 4. In fact, pre-orders may be needed to secure those fancy plastic instruments.
Bungie has released an official preview trailer for the upcoming House of Wolves expansion for Destiny, detailing the story missions based in The Reef. You will obtain new orders from Petra Venj, Queen's Wrath, who charges you with the quest of stopping the Wolves as well as Skolas from usurping power from the House of Kings on Earth.
Nintendo plans to enter the mobile marketplace in the near future, and it looks like the company has picked an individual to lead the charge according to a recent financial report.
The report from Sankei, translated by Nintendo Everything, reveals that a Mario Kart producer will be in charge of Nintendo's mobile development going forward. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata didn't mention a specific name, but it's assumed he was referring to Hideki Konno.
Whoever thought of the idea of having gaming inept Conan O'Brien alongside colleague and hardcore gamer Aaron Blair perform reviews for video games is a genius. Team Coco's Clueless Gamer is one of the team's best segments, regularly delivering laughs and new footage of the hottest games in the industry.
As if the rumored dismantling of Hideo Kojima's relationship with Konami wasn't enough, the canceling of Silent Hills was a blow loud enough to send shockwaves throug the internet. Konami has quickly earned itself the disfavor of gamers around the world for its actions, and apparently has little idea why.
In this episode of GR Live, I run through all four zones (and surprisingly reach the end) of Crypt of the NecroDancer using your favorite battle music. This rhythm-based platformer will automatically adjust the speed of the game to the BPM of any chosen custom music.
Taiko no Tatsujin, better known as Taiko Drum Master abroad, will be getting a Vita version uncreatively called Taiko Drum Master: V Version. Of course, it'll have all the rhythmic timing-based musical gameplay series fans have come to love, but also feature the ability to be fanserviced by popular Bandai Namco characters in an RPGlike mode "Donda Quest."
In the week leading up to the string of Japanese national holidays known as "Golden Week," Nintendo is doing what it almost always does in festive seasons: sell more games than anyone else. These charts come via Dengeki and give data for April 27 - May 3.
First up, Hardware:
3DS - 26,976
Wii U - 21,016
PS4 - 20,668
Vita - 15,613
PS3 - 4,203
Xbox 1 - 197
That's not super high, but keep in mind that the bigger boost is expected next week, when the much bigger part of Golden Week will be reflected on the chart. Here's how the software looked:
1. (3DS) Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition - 178,525
2. (WIU) Dragon Quest X - 89,513
3. (WIU) Xenoblade Chronicles X - 86,119
4. (Wii) Dragon Quest X - 79,888
5. (3DS) Style Savvy 3: Kira Kira Code - 24,094
6. (3DS) Bravely Second: End Layer - 22,838
7. (PSV) Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition - 15,520
8. (PSV) How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend: Blessing Flowers - 10,622
9. (PSV) To Heart 2: Dungeon Travelers - 10,339
10. (PSV) New Tokyo Legacy: Operation Babel - 8,471
11. (WIU) Mario Party 10 - 7,970
12. (PS4) Dying Light - 7,367
13. (3DS) Yo-kai Watch 2 - 6,811
14. (3DS) Ansatsu Kyoushitsu: Korosensei Daihouimou!! - 6,400
15. (WIU) Mario Kart 8 - 5,984
16. (3DS) Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS - 5,844
17. (PS3) One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 - 4,800
18. (PS4) Bloodborne - 4,250
19. (PS3) BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend - 4,188
20. (PS4) Tropico 5 - 3,772
And if we count up all new software sold, stretching even beyond the top 20, we get figures that look like this:
3DS - 335,791
Wii U - 204,676
Vita - 87,892
PS3 - 52,717
PS4 - 51,981
PSP - 4,538
X1 - 733
And that's what a huge install base can do for you. Or, in the case of Wii-U, holiday hype and a great lineup.
