Electronic Arts has a new sale on Origin that sees Dragon Age: Inquisition knocked down to half its retail price to $29.99, but that's just one of the numerous titles whose price has been slashed.
Earlier this year at a Witcher 3 exclusive event, I had the opportunity to interview CD Projekt RED level designer Miles Tost about his role on the development team for The Witcher 3.
In the video below, he explains how he helped create the expansive world of The Witcher 3, which has been reported to have over 200 hours of unique gameplay. Check out the video and comment to tell us what you think about the upcoming fantasy title!
NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for its highly anticipated fighting game Mortal Kombat X. This latest video details fan favorites Jax and Jacqui Briggs. Give it a look above.
Pre-orders have opened up for Nintendo's Greninja amiibo, which is exclusive to Toys 'R' Us.
Yes, that's right, there's yet another retailer-exclusive Smash Bros. figurine for Nintendo fans to track down. If you head over to the Toys 'R' Us listing for the toy right now, you can place your pre-order. I'd act fast if I were you, as I suspect these will sell out rather quickly.
The upcoming Gears of War game from first-party Xbox developer Black Tusk Studios won't be coming to Microsoft's last-gen gaming console.
In a post on Twitter, Black Tusk's Jack Felling replied to a fan's inquiry regarding an Xbox 360 release by saying, "No sorry, it won't be available on the 360 but it will be available for the Xbox One!"
While I'm sure most fans were assuming it would be coming exclusively to Xbox One anyway, it will be interesting to see if Microsoft inevitably decides to port the title to Windows 10 sometime in the future following its console release.
While video game updates always intend to improve the games they are for, things don't always work as planned. Take for example Grand Theft Auto V's v1.08 update that arrived a week ago. It might have aimed to stabilize the sometimes inconsistent framerate of the game on next generation consoles, but it compromised visual fidelity in the process.
As much as myself and many others love Pillars of Eternity, there's no getting around the fact that it has its fair share of balance issues and bugs. Actually, I'd go as far as to say that these areas are the game's greatest weakness.
Video game delays are nothing new in the industry, but this year has already turned this into a soft trend when it comes to high-profile games being shuffled to 2016. Today, Remedy Entertainment announced that its Xbox One-exclusive Quantum Break has been delayed until next year "to polish and fine-tune the game," putting Microsoft in a position where it will need to bank on Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5: Guardians, and the next Forza Motorsport to fill the holiday season. (Not a problem, maybe...)
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is currently available on PlayStation 4, Vita, and PC, but the list of platforms will grow in the near future.
Designer Edmund McMillen took to Twitter to reveal that Rebirth is "FOR SURE coming to Wii U, New 3DS, and Xbox One soonish!" No other timetable was established, but a 2015 release seems likely given the word choice.
The PC release of Grand Theft Auto V is just a couple weeks away, and Rockstar has made the wait even harder with a new trailer of the game running at 60FPS.
Grand Theft Auto V on PC was supposed to come out at the beginning of the year, but numerous delays shifted the release date until April. At least Rockstar spent plenty of time crafting an impressive visual experience as showcased in the 60FPS video.
As a special GameRevolution LIVE, I run through Dark Souls II: Scholars of the First Sin, the remastered (and slightly remade) version of the original game that comes with all three "Crown" DLCs and plenty of graphical improvements. So make sure you play the video below in 720p.
Mario Kart 8's second DLC pack will release on April 23, Nintendo CEO and president Satoru Iwata revealed during yesterday's Direct broadcast.
This add-on bundle of Animal Crossing-themed digital goodness includes a whopping 8 new tracks, as well as new characters. Soon you'll be able to race as the Villager, Isabelle, and Dry Bowser.
Just a couple weeks ago, we learned that Star Wars Battlefront would be making its grand debut at this year's Star Wars Celebration in April. Now we know exactly when the reveal trailer for the game will air.
To borrow a phrase from Satoru Iwata, the latest Nintendo Direct (posted above for your viewing pleasure) was like a box of chocolates; you never knew what you were going to get.
Nintendo bombarded us with so many announcements in a span of 48 minutes that I wouldn't blame anyone for being absolutely confused as to when everything would be releasing. While I could have done without half of the amiibo-related announcements, the new 200cc class in Mario Kart 8 and the upcoming Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition have me giddy with excitement.
One of the cool new features in Bloodborne is the introduction of transforming weapons. Sure, a sword is effective, but a sword attached to a giant sledgehammer is even better. But what happens when we ignore those weapons and use fists instead?
Quantum Break has been delayed to 2016, developer Remedy Entertainment has confirmed.
"WeÄ‚Ë€â„Ëre really proud to be part of the incredible Xbox One line-up," creative director Sam Lake explained in a post on the studio's official blog. "We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine tune the game to create the kind of standout entertainment experience theyÄ‚Ë€â„Ëve come to expect from us."
The upcoming Jigglypuff amiibo will be exclusive to Target, according to a listing on the company's online store.
If you head over to the website's listing for the item, you'll see that it is apparently exclusive to not only this particular retail chain, but also online shoppers. I guess this one isn't being sold is stores, folks.
You can pre-order the cute little plastic pink puffball right now, but something tells me that button won't stay red for much longer, as these retailer exclusive figures have sold out incredibly quickly in the past.
Square Enix has released the opening movie for Bravely Second, due out on April 23 in Japan and foreign territories later.
Pre-order bonuses include costumes and weapons.
Did I ever tell you young whipper-snappers about the time I was a space marine? Like, seriously, I was in space and the US Marine's theme song was cheering me on? Also I drank a soda that let me shoot fireballs.
Nintendo made quite a few notable announcements during today's Nintendo Direct broadcast, including the the reveal of a new entry in the addictive Animal Crossing series.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will be released on the Nintendo 3DS later this year. True to its name, Happy Home Designer focuses on home decoration. More specifically, players fill requests from villagers by scanning amiibo cards.
