Evolve, the 4v1 shooter from developer Turtle Rock Studios, launched last week to much success in the UK. In fact, the game was the top-selling title in the region, outpacing the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D and the ever-popular Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
The Order: 1886, the narrative-heavy PlayStation 4 exclusive from developer Ready at Dawn, launches later this week. Naturally, reports of the game's length are popping up early, claiming it can be completed in under six hours.
[Update 2] The folks over at Techland have released a new patch for Dying Light that adds mod support back into the game. Dubbed version 1.4.0, this new update also improves load times, overall stability, and more.
I don't know about you, but I'm a shallow gamer... at least in some respects. You see, I want my hardware to look pretty. Over the years, we seen some really ugly consoles and handhelds, but we've also been graced with a few artistic masterpieces.
[Update] Sorry, Rayman fans! It appears this rumor was just an elaborate hoax.
See how the culprit pulled it off in the video below.
[Original] It looks like Super Smash Bros. fans may have more to look forward to than just Mewtwo joining the roster, as Rayman has apparently been leaked as yet another forthcoming downloadable character.

Nintendo's Wii-U Virtual Console now has the classic Super Nintendo RPG Breath of Fire for $7.99 USD.
I would have done an Old Games With Grandpa Heath video about this game by now if those didn't take me like 16 hours each to make. I'd do a lot of things more often if they didn't take 16 hours — like intercontinental travel. I'd be all over those if that didn't take 16 hours. Oh and the thousands of dollars. That's kind of a barrier. But Breath of Fire won't cost you thousands of dollars, unless you buy it several hundred times, which you should, because then we might get a proper Breath of Fire VI instead of that mobile bullshit.
Dear Square Enix,
I'm sorry I say a lot of bad shit about you. Like every day. I'll stop doing that if you bring this game to current-gen consoles. Please consider my offer. Also you have to stop doing dumb shit. I can't ignore that. But do those two things and I would consider us good.
Sony announced PlayStation Heroes on the PlayStation Blog earlier today, a new program that allows fans to play games with celebrities and donate money to charity in the process.
The company will release the PlayStation Heroes app for PS4 on February 24th, and every dollar spent on digital content through the app provides users with one sweepstakes entry. Ninety percent of those funds will go to the Make-a-Wish foundation, the USO, and the V Foundation for Cancer Research. Sony has already donated $100,000 to each charity to kick things off.
343 Industries is an incredibly fascinating developer. After all, the studio was created with the sole purpose of shepherding Microsoft's most prized and important franchise, Halo. Bungie birthed the epic sci-fi FPS franchise back on the original Xbox and brought it to astronomical levels of success for an entire decade. However, when the team finally decided to move on to something new, Microsoft needed to fill that gaping first-party development hole left in its wake, and thus, 343 Industries was born.
When I first heard that Law & Order SVU was doing a "ripped from the headlines" episode where a female video game developer is harassed by a "group of misogynistic cyber terrorists," I was optimistic. The idea of Olivia Benson and her crew kicking in the door of trolls hellbent on terrorizing people through the back channels of the internet was appealing. I anticipated the hokey gamer slang, the roll-your-eyes comments about gaming, and the poorly diverse presentation of gamers themselves, but there was one thing I failed to foresee: the grossly mishandled depiction of cyber harassment experienced by women in the gaming and tech industries.
I know a lot of GameRevolution readers likely understand my passion for handheld video game hardware as a preference, but I think the space necessitates a lot of other gaming trends that would otherwise go unnoticed. Look to Nintendo 3DS for an uptick in strategy gaming, for example. Role-playing games take too long, but not if you can take them with you everywhere you go. Even mobile software is approaching what-it-wants-to-be-when-it-grows-up as it gets closer to the best practices for handheld games.
Valentine's Day, Schmalentine's Day. Sega's second annual "Make War, Not Love" campaign doesn't want to see people making kissy faces and huggy-wuggies.
No, they want to see a war, specifically between Total War: Rome II fans and Company of Heroes 2 fans, where the prize will be free DLC for the winning community.
Vice President of Sony Network Entertainment Eric Lempel recently took to the PlayStation Blog to announce PlayStation Network sub accounts can now be upgraded to master accounts.
PSN sub accounts allow users under the age of 18 to experience PlayStation content while a parent or guardian manages their access from a master account. Users who turned 18 or older were unable to upgrade their account until now.
Get those track shoes ready. Stretch out, warm up, don't pull a muscle, for the race for Rosalina is back on, as the newly-launched Japanese website for Mario Party 10 have images showing game pieces for the guardian of the cosmos, as well as Wario and Donkey Kong.
crarr; With pure, fulfilling gameplay, who needs a story? Really?
For anybody that might have missed this long-running series (or simply kept their distance for whatever reason), Monster Hunter is not a story-driven RPG, but a mission-based adventure title where the sole goal is to take on quests, explore new environments, fight the various monsters, and collect the bounty to upgrade your weapons and armor for more difficult missions. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is here, ready and willing to suck away any minutes you may think you have left.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D producer Eiji Aonuma has shared a few details on what it was like remaking the Nintendo 64 classic for 3DS. Believe it or not, the development process wasn't all sunshines and rainbows.
XSEED Games has announced the release date for its upcoming 3DS exclusive, Story of Seasons. It launches on March 31 in North America and those who pre-order the game will get a pocket plushie.
