Eurogamer:
"Before it was a rocket launcher with target tracking and devastating cluster rounds, Gjallarhorn - from the Old Norse "yelling horn" - was the instrument sounded by the herald god, Heimdall, to signal Ragnorok. The noise of Gjallarhorn, in other words, meant the end of the world - which, in a way, is just as true of its deadly, wolf-headed descendant in Destiny, a gun which proved so powerful it called down an armageddon on itself."
Chris Mawson writes: "After the disappointing news that four of the WWEs brightest female stars have not made the cut for WWE 2K16s roster, the wrestling sims publisher has been left to field many questions from infuriated fans over the weekend."
From GameWatcher: "SOMA is a truly excellent gaming experience, with the only flaws coming from your own personal expectation. If you're expecting a game as terrifying as Amnesia and without any adventure game-style puzzles to solve you might have some complaints, but SOMA is still scary, dripping with tension and heart-stopping moments, and it's easier to find the items you need to solve puzzles than in Amnesia. It's the story and world of SOMA that is the highlight though, with a compelling storyline that really digs into deep moral issues like "what makes you you" and "what does it mean to be human". In the 10 or so hours it took me to finish SOMA I was hooked for the entire experience, from shocking beginning to one of the best game endings I've seen since Portal. SOMA will destroy you emotionally, and that's a very good thing indeed."
Apparently the recent 10% code wasn't good enough, so Rakuten have kicked it up a notch by unleashing a brand new one. With an extra 5% saving to be had, we expect there will be plenty of deals using this new code popping up over the next few days.
We finally have a full length match from the upcoming NBA 2K16 for you to enjoy. The match is between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers. The video is taken from a PS4 console, but will of course represent gameplay for the Xbox One and PC.
Metro:
All the changes and additions are for the best, and a great step forward for Destiny in general, but they come at a price both literally and figuratively.
Is Destiny: The Taken King more of the same or does it deliver the hype? Gamer Professionals writes: The Taken King sets out to rectify some of the problems players had with the original and its expansions, but does it succeed? | PS4
Nerd Reactor: It seems like Bungie listened to what players wanted and kept that in mind. One cannot help but think what may have come of the game if it launched with what we have today, but I am curious to see how the game evolves over the next year.
Gadgets 360 says: "FIFA 16 is an interesting beast. The core gameplay veers towards simulation with thoughtful ways that retool some of its most basic actions and your approach to a match, if you're a fan of fast, frenetic pace of play, this is not for you."
Star Ocean is coming back with Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness, and its putting a foot into the current generation with a PS4 release (while it keeps one in the old with a SKU for PS3), but how does the game play?

EA:
Never underestimate a playmaker. They might not be putting the ball in the back of the net, but the best ones are able to find the open teammate and change the complexion of a match.
If you havent had a chance to play the so fun its stupid Dragon Age Inquisition DLC Trespasser dont walk, RUN to your nearest online retailer (your couch) and get to downloading! Its been seven long years since Metal Gear Solid 4, five since Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker a game while magnificent, that is often forgotten about for its lack of a number causing fans of the franchise to yearn for the next entry in Hideo Kojimas espionage series of magical realism. Through all the trouble and drama between Kojima-san and his employer (developer Konami), the game finally released earlier this month and was met with critical applause, overwhelmingly so. The only detractors it seems come for its story and its sporadic nature, chopped up episodically and inserted between dense gameplay. In the eyes of a quite vocal set of fans, this inaccessibility is a big problem, but is it really? Did Kojima and Konami drop the ball on the main element that the series is known for in favour of implementing one for which it is not?
Welcome to all new Sklylanders: SuperChragers. Even all the portals have disabled by Portal Master Kaos but this is not going to work against the new Skylanders: SuperChargers. Many things have changed since the last Skylanders adventure.
Popoptiq: Just in case the title of the article didnt fully prepare you for whats going on here, allow me to spell it out; in this story there will be spoilers, lots of spoilers, perhaps even all of the spoilers for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. If youre enjoying the game and you dont want to know how it ends, why Quiet has to wear a bikini, or whether or not Drebin and his pet monkey time travel back to 1984 to explain some back story on the bosses for you, you should take this opportunity to abandon ship. Get out of here, and come back when youre done. Go on. Out with you. If youve finished the game, then feel free to stay, because in this article, well be talking about what went wrong with the story in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and there might even be a little baseless speculation as to why it went wrong, too.
Last week Final Fantasy XV Game Director Hajime Tabata told Peter Brown that we'll play his new game next year. Peter and Alexa join Danny to discuss how this is possible.
