This week at Bungie we finally coronated Oryx as the Taken King of Destiny.
Your first steps onto the Dreadnaught mark the end of a long journey for us both as developers and as a community. All year, we dreamed of what Destiny could and would be in Year Two. All summer, we thought about the day one wave of Guardians that would establish the first beachhead aboard Oryxs fortress. In the final weeks that led to the here and now, we took just about every opportunity we could think of to tell you that our next adventure was about to begin.
Skewed and Reviewed have posted their review for the final DLC for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. They liked the new maps and Zombie mode, but said this collection will not make you a fan of the game if you had issues with it before as it stays close to the vest in terms of what is offered.
"Fans and backers of Mighty No. 9 have expressed their anger, confusion and disappointment over delays and Comcept's seeming inability to communicate these issues."
AOTF:
Destiny: The Taken King and the Year Two Update is a significant step forward towards making this game something more enjoyable rather than a chore, but it still focuses very narrowly on pleasing its existing player base. Youre still going to be on the grind, the work ahead of you is just better laid out. While the story campaign can offer 6-7 hours of solid gameplay to see it in its entirety, you still have that same problem of what do you do when its over if thats all you came to see. Well, what youre supposed to do is track some quests, take some bounties, earn some light level and get ready for the Raids and Weeklys with your buddies. Hit the Crucible, play on all the new maps, earn some Legendary Marks or Strange Coins and then spend them over at Lord Shaxx or on Xurs weekly visit. Theres really so much to keep you occupied in Destiny, and now it all feels a little less like busy work.

PS4 has proven its popularity at the currently on-going Tokyo Game Show 2015 by having more than 100 games being showcased at the tradeshow. This is up massively over last years TGS, where PS4 had less than 50 games showcased at the tradeshow.
Examiner:
"Destiny: The Taken King feels like the game Bungie wanted to put forth a year ago. Cinematics with weight, set pieces reminiscent of the glory days in the Halo franchise, and first person action blending with RPG elements in the right way that make Destiny a true feeling of belonging and instills a desire to continue the fight. Destiny 2.0 looks like to start the games second year strong, and does so."
Jermain Jackson writes:
"Whats up?!! Im afraid Ive got some bad news. Okay the news isnt actually bad unless you arent a fan of R-Truth and BNB, as WWE 2K16s developer has released yet another extended gameplay video featuring the aforementioned in-ring veterans."
OX writes: "Destiny expansion The Taken King is the nearest thing to Destiny 2 we've had so far, coming after more limited DLC packs The Dark Below and House of Wolves. It brings a new location, more missions, more subclasses and, controversially, less Peter Dinklage. Show of the Week examines The Taken King and reasons to consider not swapping out your voice actor, game developers."
Koei Tecmos Attack on Titan has been announced only for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita for the moment, but Arslan: The Warriors of Legend got a stray Xbox One version for the west, despite being exclusive on PlayStation in Japan. Could Attack on Titan get a similar treatment? It's actually possible.
RPS:
"On the one hand, the openness and rogue weather of Metal Gear Solid Vs second zone is a spectacular, tactics-altering change from the dusty, mountainous, barren Afghanistan Ive spent dozens of hours in. On the other, no, its different, its not the same, its all weird, I hate it I hate it I hate it."
EB: Bungie has released a teaser trailer for the Kings Fall raid in Destiny, which will open tomorrow (9/18) for all players with The Taken King who have a Guardian at level 40 with a high light level also being recommended. Prepare to have your asses kicked Guardians!
Licensed video games over the years have garnered a bad reputation, they are perceived as games for kids, rushed out to release at the same time as the movie they are based on. However, licensed games can be good, and some can even be excellent; more often than not however, the best licensed games are not based on a single movie or book, but come from a developer being given the freedom to create what they want for the product in question.
