Long time Destiny player David Game has enjoyed a love-hate relationship with Destiny but The Taken King has really taken him buy surprise in how different it has made the game for the better.
Includes written opinion and commentated gameplay video.
Patrick Garratt:
"Youve hit 40 and now your need to lift your Light level so you can smash the Heroics, Nightfall and Raid. Wonder no more. This is how its done."
From GameWatcher: "There are concerns over the PC port of Konami's footy sim Pro Evolution Soccer 2016. Mixed user reviews on the Steam page and the fact that we are yet to receive review code for the game do not bode well. A NeoGAF thread sums up the issues nicely including graphical comparisons to the PS4, resolution restrictions, a poor options menu and incomplete player rosters."
Destiny players who haven't bought The Taken King Expansion are accusing Bungie of creating a pay wall for older content like, Heriocs,Nightfalls, and other content from Destiny, in . Some of these players feel like Bungie is forcing them to purchase The Taken King in order to revisit older content. PoliGames is here to tell those unlucky few, why it isn't a big deal.
RPS:
"On the one hand, the openness and rogue weather of Metal Gear Solid Vs second zone is a spectacular, tactics-altering change from the dusty, mountainous, barren Afghanistan Ive spent dozens of hours in. On the other, no, its different, its not the same, its all weird, I hate it I hate it I hate it."
EB: Bungie has released a teaser trailer for the Kings Fall raid in Destiny, which will open tomorrow (9/18) for all players with The Taken King who have a Guardian at level 40 with a high light level also being recommended. Prepare to have your asses kicked Guardians!
Licensed video games over the years have garnered a bad reputation, they are perceived as games for kids, rushed out to release at the same time as the movie they are based on. However, licensed games can be good, and some can even be excellent; more often than not however, the best licensed games are not based on a single movie or book, but come from a developer being given the freedom to create what they want for the product in question.
Silliconera:
"Weve already learned about Persona 5s masked protagonist earlier this year, and Atlus are going to update us with character profiles for the other party members. The latest is the blonde-haired Ryuji Sakamoto."

Phil writes, "The title screen-- it's been with us for countless decades now. Whenever there is a game, there is a screen that shows what the name of it is. For the first time on SuperPhillip Central, we'll be taking a look at some of the best title screens in gaming history. Since there are so many good ones to choose from, this is but part one of what I plan to be a long-running series. Whether they're animated, offer some interaction, or are just plain cool looking, these title screens are what SuperPhillip Central considers to be the absolute best of a big bunch."
There is a new super feature called legendary status that came with the new Robbery dlc for Battlefield Hardline. Upon reaching Rank 150 for the first time, players will be given the option to Become Legendary Level 1.
Owen Atkinson writes: "I believe dialling up the consequences and rarity of drugs in Fallout 4 will lead to a richer and more challenging experience. According to a recently published report by the ESRB, Bethesda certainly seem to be heading in the right direction."
Brendan Holben at GameCloud Australia writes:
"In a strange way, The Phantom Pain turns out to be quite an apt description for this game. Were profoundly aware theres something missing here, and its possible we wont be truly satisfied. There are a few glaring issues in The Phantom Pain that could have sunk it, but in the end the incredible sandbox gameplay is just too good to dismiss. The series has always been about bombastic plots and super-refined gameplay, so the sting here is that Kojimas swan song had to be compromised for the worse. Dont get me wrong: The Phantom Pain is a brilliant game Im just grieving what could have been."
Colby Primeaux writes, "Last month, RGMs Carl Williams brought you the news of Mutant Football League, the long-awaited upcoming remake of the 1993 Sega Genesis classic Mutant League Football. Digital Dreams Entertainment LLC Creative Director/Lead Design Michael Mendheim, also the creator and lead designer of the original game, spoke to RGMs Colby Primeaux about the game, its response at PAX Prime in Seattle last month and the future of the franchise."
Over on Gravis Ludus we have several exclusive screen shots and some artwork from the upcoming Mutant League Football. Check out the shots and show some support as this game develops- we will.
Last week Final Fantasy XV Game Director Hajime Tabata told Peter Brown that we'll play his new game next year. Peter and Alexa join Danny to discuss how this is possible.
