"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain represents an evolution for the series. Transcending traditional gaming, storytelling, and art, it is a successful marriage of open world and stealth mechanics that creates an elaborate dichotomy of ideas that somehow work within the parameters of a thought-provoking and often profoundly captivating narrative."

VVV: "Of course, the significance of the Gran Turismo series will rely hugely on the quality of the games. In recent years, Gran Turismo releases have been quite divisive with critics and fans, and it will be interesting to see if the in-the-works Gran Turismo 7 will be able to respond to the likes of Project CARS and Assetto Corsa.
But being so close to major brands in the automotive world should keep the Gran Turismo brand right at the heart of the industry. And if doing that isn't the most surefire way outside of the game development sphere of ensuring the significance of the series, then I have no idea what will keep the Gran Turismo series relevant in the motoring and gaming industries."

"It may have better player numbers than ever and a new expansion in the form of The Taken King, but once upon a time, Destiny was a hush-hush new property behind closed doors at Activision and Bungie. Then along came a legal dispute between Activision and Infinity Ward that revealed information on a mysterious decade long, $140 million, four-game-plus-four-expansions setup that was set to form a core part of the publisher's future strategy. Of course, with its incredible budget and already expanding library, Destiny was clearly that game, but what of that fabled 'ten-year plan'? Was there any truth to it or was it just an old detail on an outdated design brief?"
"What button kills a guy? Every button kills a guy. Everything I touched in Arslan: The Warriors of Legend was killing people. Much like that time everybody was allegedly kung-fu fighting, I was chopping them up and chopping them down. This type of war can indeed be seen as an ancient Chinese art, and all those stooges definitely knew their part. Their part was to get killed by me." -GR

Vic B'Stard writes: "The fifth main title in Hideo Kojimas acclaimed Metal Gear Solid series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, is finally upon us. Fans have been salivating over what could be the last Metal Gear Solid game for years now. But has it been worth the wait?"
