Affordable Space Adventures review heads down display | Metro

Metro: The Wii U GamePad is finally put to good use, in an innovative new indie game thats also one of the best co-op games of the year. The Wii U now has an impressive library of exclusives, but what it doesnt have in abundance are games that prove why the GamePad was such a necessary part of the set-up. Off-TV mode is great, but when the Wii U was first announced the implication was that it would allow for brand new types of gameplay that would be impossible on any other system. But beyond a few early titles that hasnt really happened until now.

GR-UK writes: "Finally, with regards to the cooperative multiplayer mode, it's obvious that the team has made a decent effort on this front, and that shared play changes the experience, making communication and synchronisation (and shouts and laughter) mandatory in order to overcome the most difficult areas. We've done things and reached places with this old banger that you could never imagine, and we will get back on our beloved Small Craft in a few weeks and return to this most unique of adventures so we can enjoy it once again. If you like artistic and ingenious games, this is one you don't want to miss."

ZTGD | Cabelas African Adventures Review

Ken McKown writes: The generation can truly begin; there is a Cabela game on these new consoles. Granted it is an old Cabela game, but now that I can finally hunt down packs of hyenas and large game such as elephants and rhinos, I can officially say that the next generation of gaming is here. OK, so I want to turn off the sarcasm filter for a moment. Cabela games are often scoffed at by purist gamers, but their purpose is much more important. These truly are the games that usher in new players. There is a reason they release so many of these titles, and now that they are finally coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which means the genre can finally move forwardor maybe not.
