The Horror Of Long Night Has Begun

Added: 08.07.2014 9:14 | 6 views | 0 comments

Nathaniel Liles writes: "It seems like yesterday that Long Night, a survival horror game in the classic tradition of Resident Evil, was funded. Developers Trickster Face raised $12,507 (CAD) for their episodic spooky-spooky adventure, ending their Kickstarter on January 15th. Development cycles for things like this usually take much longer, but lo and behold, Long Night Episode 1, titled Alone I Break has been distributed to backers! As far as I could find, there were no high-profile reviews for the title yet, but Im definitely excited to see what Trickster Face accomplished in this relatively short amount of time."

Munin Demo for Windows

Added: 02.07.2014 11:24 | 2 views | 0 comments

In Munin, players enter a fantastic world of the legends of the Norse gods, because the raven Munin is one of the two loyal messengers of Odin, the father of the gods. But due to a capricious prank by Loki, he has been transformed into a little human girl, and his feathers have been scattered across the nine worlds of Yggdrasil. The players’ task is to find the feathers and restore the raven to his true form. Munin combines classic side-scrolling gameplay with screen elements which can be rotated 360°. By turning the different screen elements, players open blocked paths, overcome obstacles, and create new passages. Thus columns are converted into bridges, and the ceiling of the cave suddenly becomes a safe bridge. Along with classic switches and moving levels, the physical properties of a wide variety of objects in the game can also be put to clever use in order to move forward, giving Munin even more game depth. Liquids such as lava or water begin to flow thanks to rotation, stones and boulders fall into the depths thanks to gravity. In order to help players keep from becoming disoriented, Norse runes point the way to the lost feathers. http://store.steampowered.com/app/281750/
