Sometimes the world seems like it’s moving too fast for me. I often find days where I’d like nothing more than to just turn off my phone for an hour, and go sit by myself in the park with something good to read. Ironically, the only thing I really want to be reading right now is an upcoming narrative-based adventure game called Alone in the Park.

Thomas Was Alone is essentially a platform game. Look deeper though, and you'll see that the platformer's DNA has been spliced with a puzzler in the vein of The Lost Vikings - a game in which a team of Vikings with different abilities work in tandem to overcome a set of obstacles. It's not just mechanics that make this game worth playing, though, it's also a story... about friendship.

TGH Writes: "Its rare to come across a game that has me grinning from ear to ear from beginning to end, but this is exactly what Thomas Was Alone caused me to do. Let me be the first to say that I never thought a game like Thomas Was Alone would evoke such feelings. On the surface its little more than a game where you simply control a bunch of rectangles through clever little levels. But deeper down its a game all about imaginative and downright excellent platforming. Its a game so simple in its core mechanic, yet so absolutely delightful to play that youll remember it for a long time to come."
