Blizzard Apologizes for Launch Issues for WoW: Warlords of Draenor
Added: 19.11.2014 0:00 | 2 views | 0 comments
Blizzard is aware of the launch issues for the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion, including high queues and various technical challenges. It seems to be a trend that any massive MMO seems to have plenty of bugs at the launch of anything nowadays.
Community Manager Nethaera on the official Battle.net forums has posted a message from Executive Producer J. Allen Brack who understands that while the quality of the game's content is high, it "does not excuse the subpar launch experience we delivered, and I apologize for that." But luckily, Blizzard has a solution:
To help address this, weÄ‚Ë€â„Ëve expanded the new instancing tech we used to improve queues on Saturday and weÄ‚Ë€â„Ëre continuing the process of applying that to raise the capacity of all realms again. This will result in approximately double the prelaunch capacity on each realm, which should greatly reduce queue times for most realms if not eliminate queues altogether.
As more than just a verbal gesture, Blizzard will be adding five free days of extra time to every active subscription since Friday, November 14. Our news editor Alex Osborn is currently playing the expansion and is on route for a review soon.

An opinion piece on Shenmue by Andy Stinton who feels the game should be revived.
"1999 a time when anything seemed possible and when games took risks and dared to be different. Shenmue was the defining moment of the Dreamcast and a symbol of the consoles pure imagination, bravery of ambition and artistry, SEGAs last stand. But also sadly, the consoles latter demise would seem to ironically dovetail with the ominous future of the series as well. While SEGA have fallen from grace, the Shenmue series itself is currently left in limbo on the second game and has been for a very long time."
